Claiming some "righteous" angle to his blind support of Roy really is going too far though. There's nothing righteous about it whatsoever. He simply has double standards - and that is not an attitude held by the "righteous". So he's lying when he claims to be righteous.

I'm a bit confused as to how the Gerrard look at Birmingham has anything to do with the mire we're in now. They weren't playing for the manager then, so we changed the manager, yet they're still not playing for the manager now. So either we should have kept Rafa and sold all the senior players, or Roy hasn't a clue. And I guarantee you that ANYONE who claims to have thought we should have supported H&Gs idea to sell the senior players is flat out lying. Even if they would have reinvested the money in the squad, it's still a lie to say now that you held the belief that the problem last season was that of the squad.

Roy hasn't changed anything other than to reduce our effectiveness on the pitch. You had standards last season, but now that HRH Hodgson is at the helm, standards be damned?

Pleased to see all those follow-up quotes from emp, Reclaim, and fazakerly showing us the ways in which we have improved under Roy. That's right, none. Instead we have a moderator behaving like a child so he doesn't have to answer the question because he doesn't know the answer.

Your argument hinges on the fact that Rafa failed. The rest of us have got over it; the ones with the Rafa complex are yourselves. If you opened both your eyes and looked at the table, watched a game or two, you would see that Roy is failing as well.
