The bitters want it more, any excuse to get our of that god-awful shed they call Goodison. And you're right, we'd have to cough up far more money to make it work. You really think Bill 'tightarse' Kenwright will put anything even approaching 50% in? I guarantee he wont. Reclaims main reason for groundshare is a rather personal selfish one - it would cost him more. I'd rather pay a bit more and be independant than share with those bitter bluenose b@sterds. They've far more to gain than we ever would.

I don’t want to share with Everton at any cost particularly if we pay the greater sum, effectively subsidising Everton. How do you fancy that some of your ticket money going to Everton? The mood music from the new owners seems to favour redeveloping Anfield. However increasingly the ground is becoming a side issue and the real issue is ticket pricing. The season ticket price will I believe soon exceed the £1,000 barrier and for me that will be thank you and good night LFC I simply don’t that kind of money and I am not poor. (I have had a ST for 25 years and at one time to go to all home and away games. The only way any sort of fan (except the very wealthy) will be able to afford to go will be sharing the cost between 2 / 3 friends the days of attending all the home games will be gone for good. The problem with that approach is once it is no longer your routine then you tend to lose interest. I honestly believe Football in the UK is dying even MUFC are now advertising for people to go. The corruption with FIFA has not done much to improve my faith eiher.

If we cant operate at the top end of the transfer market and we end up becoming a mid table team, what will be the point in building a new stadium with an increased capacity when deep down you all know our gloryhunting fans want be bothered coughing up 60 quid plus on a ticket to watch a mid table team so the ground will only be half full anyway.
