"Your best? Losers always whine about their best. Winners go home and fck the prom queen." (Sean Connery in The Rock) Sums the game up perfectly, imo.

We played positive football for a change and showed pretty much everyone why being so afraid of winning the game is so stupid. Wish we'd do it more, but Roy reverted to type in the second half and gave the game away again. Make no mistake, I'm pleased he did something positive, but I just wish he'd do it for 90 minutes already. We wasted too many chances; that isn't Roy's fault, so he's not the only one accountable. But to try defend a single goal when we've shown for two seasons that we don't know shiite about defending from the back is abject stupidity.

If we'd continued to press them we could have shut them out, or maybe created some 50-50 chances to knock in a second. But you miss 100% of the shots you don't take. Hopefully Roy's learned his lesson by now. Put the ball in the back of the net and we'll discuss your options later. He's got to let go of his loser mentality to succeed at LFC. Come on, Roy! Stop listening to the voice that says top half of the table by Christmas is a decent showing with a squad full of internationals!

For me the positive is that we actually took the game on and should have been at least 2-3 up before they scored. See what happens when you take sides on? WE create more chances and althouh didn't put them away it was positive. Credit to Roy for that.
Skrtel unlucky for their first but Konchesky was disgracefully flat footed by the nod to let Lennon through to finish the game!! He needs to go badly!

We were unlucky today. No Gerrard, the game didn't go for us, missed a number of gilt edged sitters and I honestly thought they'd turn us over 3-0 before the game with how they'd been playing of late.

A world class striker with Torres and it would have been over at half time. That doesn't excuse weaknesses in other areas but against a highly rated Tottenham side who've spent similar to City over a few years, still think we are better than a lot of the criticism.

So can we finally put to bed all these garbage excuses about teams being tired eek sick after midweek European games, bless the little darlings, as Tottenham showed it to be a total falacy and load of complete and utter utter utter turgid b0llocks.

What can you say really? The game was good to watch, very positive from both sides and as all of you mentioned we could have scored 3 goals before skrtel gave them a goal back. If liverpool is losing a game, this is how i want them losing it, 2 upfront and was on the full attack but just a bit harsh on us. frown

Gotta agree with Snakeye, I think we played very well today and didn`t deserve to loose (not many times we can say that this season.!), pretty positive throughout and created more than enough chances to put the game beyond Spurs. Torres looks like a conference striker at present and never looked like he would score, Maxi played very well but will be remembered for the horrible waste when clean through, only he will know why he didn`t shoot.
Konchesky should be beaten to death for defending like that, fingers crossed Fabio plays next game.

Should we sell Torres in january? We are carrying him at the moment and its not like we have an abundance of forwards at the moment is it. Ngog needs to grow a set of balls if he wants to stay at Pool i think.

Think we need to keep Ngog in the team, who else is going to run the channels for that waster Torres because that lazy sh*t wont put a shift in.

Torres has a record of a goal every 1.5 games for the club,a strikers role is to score goals,a waster - i think not.

That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.
