Ground share or not to ground share? That is the question. Can you imagine Liverpool Football Club and the Blue [oops] sharing a stadium?
I can see a few positives and a few negatives about this. The first positive is obviously financial; we can split the expenses of building a super stadium across the two clubs and the council. Approximately 300 million will be required to build our new stadium. If we only had to find 150 million of that it would be so much easier. We could sell the existing land that currently consists of sacred ground for us. Granted we wouldn’t get the fortune that Arsenal received for Highbury but we could make at least 3 quarters of what we need to fund our half of the stadium.
The big questions to ask is can the Evertonians afford to find 150 million to buy a half of a stadium? I personally don’t believe that they can. Let’s face it their turnover for last year was 80 million but take away their wages of 49 million. It would take them over 10 years to make up their half without increasing their debts. They may be able to sell their current stadium land for about 40-50 million. The figures make it look like they may afford it but are they not going to buy any players, or increase wages for the likes of Mikel Arteta?
Financially they would benefit as they could nearly double their attendances on a weekly basis. Would they fill 60,000 every week? Possibly if they are doing well but in reality there are only 5 teams who would fill this size of stadium for 90% of their games; us, the Scum, Arsenal, Spurs and Newcastle United.
The other benefit is that it would guarantee government backing. Lets face it they are desperate for the 2018 World Cup, this would bring revenue to the massively required credit crunch affected UK Economy. It would also benefit the local Liverpool economy and reduce unemployment.
Now let’s look at a couple of the negatives:
• What do you call the stadium and stands? Would Evertonians want to be seen standing in the Kop. If the Kop was put as an away stand, can you stomach Manchester United fans sitting in our Kop? I [oops] can’t. • What colour do you have the seats, stands etc.? If we go red they complain, if you go blue we will complain. Maybe the same techniques used by Liverpool City Council and make the seats purple. • Why should we help them become stronger? [oops] them, after the allegations they have thrown at Robbie Fowler and Steven Gerrard. • Would the traditional die hard reds and blues want this? To be frank some of the reds I have spoken to have said it would be the final nail in their supporting coffin.
Please look at what I have put forward and let me know your thoughts

The simple answer is no. Financial benifit or not, groundsharing would result in us losing our identity. The derby would be sh1te as we would both be playing at home twice a year. Then also what happens to the Kop? I don't want to see the Blue sh1te sitting on our Kop either. We need our identity intact and to do that we can't share with them. Besides, NESV have already committed to building the stadium. To offset any benifits we might get finacially from groundsharing, we can sell the naming rights to the stadium. This way we will get revenue from it for years to come. This would eventually pay for the stadium. Bottom line is we don't need to. Rather stay at Anfiled than share with them.

If both teams were similar in size, success, financial etc like AC and Inter, then theoretically it could work. But as you mentioned, there is a particular imbalance in the financial side so it would not be acceptable. Not at all.

That imbalance is nothing we should worry about, but Neverton!
The groundsharing solution calls for a 50/50 split on all costs, and that would benefit us, since we are that much bigger than them.
If they accept this, then why not have a more thorough investigation made.
If they don't accept 50/50 then move on and leave that solution be, and instead aim for redevelopment at Anfield!

NO NO NO NO ! We want are own spiritual ground i would rather take the boards off stanley park an play on the mud than share a ground with anybody! The protests aimed at hicks and co would look very small compared to that of fans against groundshare,

[oops] a groundshare, no way!!
It won't work, we don't get on enough for it to work. It will ruin the magic of LFC, we will get so much [oops] off the mancs and other fans because we share a ground with Everton.
Seat colours... team memrobilia in and around the ground.. its a stupid suggestion and it will never happen anyway.
