Looks like Roy wants to make a bunch of signings, which means we will spend 5-7mil on 3-4 players, imo not good enough. Especially for attacking players, good wingers or strikers for that price. I say in Jan we take the 20 mil make a big signing on a proven attacking player internationally and try to use the rest of the money on a trade ie Babel + 5m for Toivenen

hodgson would i imagine want 6 average solid dependable players. I think they should buy 2 decent ones if he gets 30 million, if he gets 60m which seems to be unlikely I think he would waste it ? its clear that we need to replace about 5 or 6 of the first team but better to improve it gradually, the thing with liverpool is the low morale, which will never improve greatly while hodgson is there but teams dont respond well to massive changes, and if the changes result in hodgson bringing in 6 mediocre players (and he would do it- as first division quality players are more suited to his system) then lfc is finished
incidentally of the rumours that usually turn out to be untrue i think n'zogia would be a good bye he is a winger at least , he wouldnt do much under hodgson of course

sack him bring an attacking manager in who's a pretty big name and give him money to spend, get rid of the crap we have in the summer and were on our way

Hodgson should bring in 2 new strikers, 2 wingers and a Defensive midfielder

and maybe change our formation from 4-5-1 or typical 4-4-2 to maybe 4-3-3 or 4-1-2-1-2

Here we go again more mediocre, at least Benitez bought donkey's with a resale value where as Roy wants overated overpaid overpriced
ageing english players.

There's no point in spending 20-30 million on a handful of player's.It's quality we need not quantity.Rafa did that in the main & look at the large but ultimately poor squad we have today.

I'm not too sure of any of the players we're being linked with. I just get the feeling Hodgeson will buy mid table players. I don't think he should be trusted with any kind of money.

I say we sacrifice some transfer funds to get rid and find someone better who will buy the kind of players we all want to see. I find it hard to accept that we are being linked with N'Zogbia for £8m and the scum with Hazard for £12m! If Hazard goes for £12m and we get N'Zogbia for £8m, someone needs shooting!
