But it was our best game of the season! Which game did we actually play better? Other than perhaps the game against Arsenal when we played with 10 men for 45 minutes, I certainly can't think of one.

Face it. The highlights reel of Roy's season thus far is desperately short, and is confined mainly to transfer activity.

I agree with what david fairclough said on sky, the balance of the team is wrong.

we should of given the job to manuel pellegrini instead of Roy in the first place. Pellegrini plays good attacking and has done well at all of his teams and did he not get real thyre biggest points and goal total for a season? he was out of a job at the time and would of been so much better than roy, and ppl might say he doesnt speak english tho but we do have spanish speaking players that coulda helped out until he started, i pick him ahead of rijkard as he has been p1sh in turkey.

I'm not defending Hodgson, but I'm not slagging him off either.
I'm a confused and angry growling Bear, currently teetering on the edge of a fence. eek

Hodgson was relatively successful at Fulham with lesser quality players then he's alledgedly inherited here at Anfield.
I assume he's adopting similar tactics here that he used at Craven Cottage?
So, what exactly is the problem, and why are we currently bottom of the Prem, a position he never experienced with Fulham?

My guess is that the current crock of crap we have, have sunk into a bottomless trough of 'couldn't give a toss' attitude, this growing rancid cancerous attitude going back years, and are there simply and purely to pick up their obscene wages for little or no effort.

I see this current situation as a player problem more than a Hodgson one.
Unfortunately, Hodgson is seemingly just too nice a guy to control these utter utter bone idle lazy overpaid thick and ignorant cretins, and on that basis alone, sadly I too now think it's time for him to go.

We need a total and utter abusive loud mouthed nasty aggressive sour faced punishing bass turd to take hold of the problem by force, and weed out all of the sh1te we are currently stuck with. mad

You can't make a racehorse trot when there are open fields ahead of it. As long as you try to reign it in it will be temperamental. You either succeed in not making it a racehorse, or it dumps you on your arse. Either way, as a partnership you fail.

If you have a draught horse, on the other hand, it will trot all day for you, but when you need it perform in some other way it will become just as temperamental as the racehorse.

But a good horse owner would understand what the horse wants and what it is capable of; his racehorse to be faster in competition, his draught horse to pull heavier loads for longer.

Fulham is a draught horse, with fans who don't mind if it only trots. Liverpool is a race horse, with fans who are only interested in seeing it race. Hodgson is used to training draught horses only.

Do I really need to carry on?

I agree with that, my own opinion is 'whats good for the gander isn't good for the goose' I hope that is right and I haven't mixed up 2 expressions. What I mean is It hasnt worked because you cannot transpose a system from club to club (unless you are playing for teams in scandanavia or in the UAE where none of the teams are exceptionally good, so you can play bland football and get away with it. Fulham never dominated games and their tactics centre on firstly not just NOT losing but secondly letting the other team (who are in 50 percent of cases higher up in the league) have the ball and acting as well ordered defensive unit in order to keep the team away from the fulham goal, playing on the break and in the case of inferior teams acting as a defensive unit but compressing the opposition into their own final third. It hasn't worked at LFC as lazy brattish as they are the LFC players werent brought up with this system which stifles individuality Or maybe to coin another expression 'roys goose is cooked' because the players don't respect him enough to put in a shift and are waiting for the (inevitable) sacking of RH and possibly some of the players in the event of a new manager. Glen johnson has quit playing for LFC Everyone talks about torres and its true he s giving 50 percent but he would stll s core if the ball was crossed and he was in the box. Johsnon wouldnt do his job he s not up to it

Your right there. The players, if they are as good as they think they are, should perform whatever and they just aren't.

As for Hodgson, I never thought he was the man for the job and I still don't. He doesn't change anything. We'll go out in the next game with the same team (maybe with Poulsen in there somewhere) and the same tactics. He needs to shake it up a bit, try something new. I'd respect him and forgive bad performances more if something new is being tried. It was the same with Rafa and that probably don't help the players want to play.

Its simple, Pellegrini would have cost more. I think that maybe Hodgson was just a stop gap manager until the new owners were found.

No! mad

Gerim out. I'm on me axe weilding way. mad

I actually feel sorry and sad for Hodgson, as he's trying to sellotape over the holes in this fast sinking ship.
No room for sentiment or gentleman at Anfield anymore.
Ruthless arrogant demands are now called for, and that sadly lads, means no Dalglish either.
