As we all (I think) want to see offensive football, then it would perhaps be a good idea to have a look at what kind of formations the manager usually uses.

Roy is a typical 4-4-2 guy, but he has adopted to the Benitez style with 4-2-3-1. The problem with this is that if the manager stresses to much emphasis on defence, then we´re down at a 4-5-1 formation. And that is exactly how we have started most of the games so far in PL 2010/2011.

Now, what I want to see for the future is a 4-3-3 formation. Maybe adjusted from time to time depending on standings in the games and who we are playing against.

If we put parameters like this into the 'search-equation', i´m sure we´ll narrow down the possible outcome quite a bit!

A few examples:

Roy´s out!
Pellegrini´s out!
Capello´s out!
Mourinho´s out!

Wenger´s in!
Guardiola´s in!
Anchelotti´s in!
Mancini´s in!

And from what we has seen so far even Ian Holloway is in! Would You freekin´ beleive that!?

Well thats just the style of manager I dont want regarding signing players, I dont want big name players I want young, hungry players who want to make a name in the game, players who want to be part of something being built. I dont want overpaid, sulky Prima donna players like Kaka or Benzema e.t.c who are only here for a pay cheque and have made enough money from the game to the point where they just want a comfy ride with no demands or hassle. You talk about Roy having no experience with buying big players well what experience did Sir Bob, Joe or Dalglish have then or even Pep Guardiola. We have just got shut of a manager who bought a load of big money 20 million pound signing and every one of them was a flop Keane, Aqualani, Torres, Mascherano and Glen Johnson and yes I have included Torres in that because in my opinion because of his injuries, sulking and putting country before club he has become more trouble than he is worth, this proves buying big name expensive players is not always the answer.
torres what a fcking flop, that guy cant even score a hatrick every game. waste of space if u ask me. who in their right mind would pay 20m for torres. we will be lucky to get half of that money back today. in my opionion the torres transfer was worse then the 28m man u paid for veron or the 30m chelsea paid for shevcenko. having paid 20m for torres, i would say we got muged left, right and centre.

u guys are seriously kidding....

right??????

because if u r not then u probably should stop watching football....

the man is a genious...

i understand that he remains unfit..but wen he is fit he makes other teams sweat...and i think he is probably commited to club.if he wouldn't then he would have had walked out this summer onl...
so u better stop critisizing that man...
The man is a waster the only reason he stayed was because he had such a terrible world cup and nobody came in for him and thats the only reason he stayed so dont be kidding yourself. You say he is commited well I will argue that one with you, he put country before club in the summer having an operation to save his world cup instead of playing for us in European semi finals, only plays when he feels like, this is a man who gets paid 120 thousand pounds a week for something he likes to do which is supposedly play football, he has millions of Liverpool fans around the world who idolise him and how does he repay them? by walking round the pitch sulking, shoulders slumped not giving a damn wether the team he plays for wins or loses, his whole attitude perfectly summed up by the first goal United scored the other week from the corner he should of marked up in. Please dont give me this Torres sh*T, he's a horrible waster and I will be glad to see the back of him along with the rest of the flops he has around him. he's a pityful wretch of a man, conning the life out of us all and summs up everything I dont like in todays footballers.

To be honest with him being another Ledley King, Darren Anderton type of player I can really only see us getting our money back on him because in today's climate apart from maybe City no club can afford a luxury player who will only play half the games a season. My own personal preference would be to replace him with maybe a 15 million pound striker and 10 million pound forward, that way we will be getting a partnership up front which I think is the way forward and also a partnership who will hopefuly play nearly all the games a season together which will benefit us more.

look mate i know torres for the last two seasons has had alot of injuies but i dont think his in the same league as darren anderton. before he come to liverpool his injury record was good. the guy hasnt had a proper summer off for the last 3 seasons, no wonder his body wants to give up. i dont abt you but i rather have a world class striker that spends half the time on the treatment table but still manages to give us 20 gaols a season then someone like kuyt that plays every game but bring f all talent to the table.

Sorry but you will never win anything when your main striker only plays in half the games a season and his injury record gets worse by the season. Bill Shankly used to have it right about injuries and players, when a player who was injured used to walk past him in the corridor Shanks would walk past him without even looking at him or speaking to him because he was absolutely no use to the club injured no matter how good a player he might be. This summs it up perfectly about what you should do with an injury prone player who will never get better. By the way Torres would'nt even be at the club if Shanks was in charge, how do you think Bill would of handled Torres with all the sulking and playing when he feels like business, he would of got a big size 9 up his ar*e right out of the club.
