During the interview with Broughton,he made it clear that he was very confident the sale could go through but he also mentioned there is a chance that those beastards could win. It all depends on this court according to Broughton so lets have our fingered crossed and hope the board can win this courtcase and get the sale through.

Yep fingers crossed time, my only fear is that the court will rule that the club was undervalued. I dont think H&G have a leg to stand on in terms of the board room and that but they might argue the club worth 400m or something and get back in that way, I pray not.

Because there is two bids of 300mill they people who are bidding value the club at what their bidding so it'd not the board that has under valued the club

What i don't understand is, even if the Yanks win, by the time it goes to court and is all settled then surely the RBS can call in the loan and then sell the club on that way?!

Thats another scenario Maddog. Then they'd have the £60m of what ever it is penalty to pay too.

I personally think that £300m isn't really under valuing the club. Most experts i've seen interviewed said between £300 - £400m and definately not the £600m the clowns were looking for. I just don't understand why they want to hold onto something they can't afford and won't get what they want for?

I must say im still slightly worried that that [oops] Hicks still has something up his sleeve. And I wont feel comfortable about the whole thing until the date that RBS call in their loan and Hicks & Gillete cant pay it or these new guys are 100% confirmed.

changing the subject slightly, but what will Mr Henry actually bring to the club? Is this a case of 'same sh1t different yank' i mean, if he is only worth £300m, and he is paying off the debt, how will he have any mo0ney to compete with the likes of chelsea and man city and even spurs and man utd! I dont want liverpool being another chelsea or man city and buy the whole world but at the same time I would like to know if he will invest and compete where possible!

He has 17 wealthy backers behind him. I don't want a rich sugar daddy to come in, I want us to run properly and earn our success. Of course investment in the team is necessary, but not at the risk of players just playing for the cheque, they need to understand what we are and winning is the all important!

We're not going to be a City or Chelski, we are going to live of our profits like pretty much every other team in the PL, or even the world. Even Chelsea are not going to be spending big anymore. 17 guys have got together to fund this move, so its not all Henry's money.

I would guess there will be an intial transfer pot and after that it down to how much profit we make (second only to United), with the occasional injection just like any other club (bar city)

What I think he will bring is greater profit, simple as that. He transformed his baseball team by making it the most profitable and recognisable in the league. He wants to do the same at Liverpool. Can he do it? I dont know but I hope so.
