people need to calm down. do a bit of research on the internet. i did some, and apparently, with regards to american sports, these guys know how to turn a business around.
they bought the roush nascar team, for about 60 million, which was all recouped by marketing the team within a few weeks, and then raised the value of the team to 360 million.
everybody knows about their success with the red sox. the owner is a soft spoken, respectful gentleman, who knows what he's doing.
he made his money by using mathematical models to predict sales of crops (back in the day).
in addition to that, he has expanded the red sox name all the way to asia, so i would predict that this guy is looking to market us in a global aspect and that itself would generate huge revenues.
everyone calm down, and wait until it's official, it still isn't.

This is a good bit of business, they are wiping the debt out, the two idits get basically nothing, they will let the club run at a profit which will be invested into the squad. Regarding the stadium they will do an Arsenal (naming rights, investment from parent companies and so forth).
Yes they will be american owners, owning us again, but these people will run the business right and we will become the force of football again.
I am happy we got these guys as I didn't fancy in all honesty being sugared daddied, city owners will walk away one day and they will finish in league 2 due to the fact tey won't have a pot to [oops] in. i agree with you, i don't want us to be the next man city, chelsea. these guys will make us independent, generating enough income to buy world class players. i hope they make us the next real madrid (revenue wise).

I want to say right away that I'm annoyed at how many people say, "Wtf??? More yanks??" That's offensive, and I'm not American. I understand that your psyche is deeply scarred by our current owners, but not everyone across the water is cut from the same cloth. So put that sh!t back where it belongs.
I must confess that this seems almost sudden, so I'm having a hard time believing it. Given that H&G tried to fire the members of the board in order to block the sale, this will become a legal battle first, so we're far from out the woods yet. I think that when Broughton says that "the board" has approved the sale, he means 60% of the board has approved the sale (which should be enough). But make no mistake, we've not heard the last from Tom Hicks, and I'll only be able to breath a sigh of relief once work on the stadium begins.

Well its all got to be approved by the EPL and some legal battle to get through first. They apparently tried to sack Purslow and Ayre so the sale couldn't go through. What a couple of [oops]!
Anyway, I know nothing of this company / person but lets just keep everything crossed that they are in it for the good of the club and make us run in the right way again.

Couldn't give a jot what you think mate. They are your thoughts and beliefs, mine are mine and my disbeliefs. I've never met a trustworthy yank yet. They're all 'bread 'eds' as far as I'm concerned.

Regardless of where any new owners come from i think it's a case of once bitten, twice shy and most people will have some reservations until we actually see work starting on the stadium and money being made available for players

Holy f*cking [oops] we're sold!!! At this early preliminary stage Ive got to hand it to the board, sounds like they fought the yanks tooth and nail, fair play to them for that. The most important thing is that the debt is clear, that means that our profit can be probably invested in the squad, this is going to give a huge lift to all the players and staff. Now we will see what Roy and boys are made off. I knows it early but there would of been no media release if the board were not confident this was going to happen. I know I shouldn't but f uck it the champagne is coming of ice!!
What do you mean my birth certificate expired?
