Alot of people say this now, the only reason is because he's poor defensively, i don't think he has the pace to be a good winger, and his final ball is bad 99% of the time.

Deffo think johnson should be played on the wing and kelly right back. Such a big mistake letting arbeloa go and go for so cheap.

Letting Arbeloa go for about 2 million and buying such a poor player like Johnson for 17 million is nearly as a big a crime as getting shut of Sissoko and bringing in Mascherano who cost three times as much as what we paid for Sissoko.

Arbeloa could play anywhere across the back,. centre mid. right wing, a spanish international. One of our most consistant players. We sell him for 2 mil and he goes to real and gets in the la liga team of the year.

I cant believe that rafa being as astute as he was let him go for 2 mil. i reckon he was sectretly part of the alonso deal to make it look like we were getting more for alonso than we atually were.

When he gets forward he pops up everywhere, I saw him in the middle of the park on saturday then left a huge gap left behind him cus kuyt was tucking in aswell. glen johnson and i said this after his first 3 games is no good as a defender. He was one of our worst ever buys in terms of the cost- return ratio. What makes me mad was that at the time we werent really in need of a right back. We certainly needed a midfielder more at the time. Also, he is a one trick pony and he can't even do that one trick anymore. I don't want to cast criticism on his personality because I don't know the bloke but I think he is a spice boy and that being the case I would transfer him to some team where people of his like are welcomed like back to Chelsea

don't talk through your arse mate, he's not our biggest problem? The goals we conceded last year mainly came from wide positions and a mr carra trying to do to much. We got rid of insua, he was shiiiite at defending and it's the same for johnson. He was switched off for bents second goal and has been caught out to many times, and been beaten by average wingers. It's not good enough for an international who's won loads of caps and probably gets 60grand a week. Would you employ someone in a job to keep making basic errors? No, I don't think so

What has anyone done? F U C K ALL. He has been no worse than anyone else. I agree he has not come on as a defender at all. But he has done more on the flanks in terms of getting by people than anyone else so far. I am not saying he has been good. But he is clearly our biggest threat out wide. That's what I've been watching. The manager is getting it all wrong, no player has looked anything.

1. What's his first priority as a defender
2. He gets down the wing well but what does he offer in terms of service in to the box? How many assists does he provide?
3. Do you think he should be played as a right winger, cus I tell you from experience, it's a different game when your attacking as a defender than a winger
