The entire team (bar Kelly) was awful yet Babel gets most criticism as he cost the most.

The entire team (bar Kelly) was awful yet Babel gets most criticism as he cost the most. So if we use that philosophy for all games, Torres should be critisised most when he does'nt score because he cost the most, these people cant have it both ways.

Well, every manager goes through criticism.. Give Roy a break! I remember rafa with his series of goalless draws and rotating squads.. fergie 3 years back, wen chelski was dominating the league, fergie was criticised and sme were even expecting him to retire soon.. Look at Roy's profile u will see he never did spectacular stuff in his 1st season at any club.. Atleast we lfc fans we need to be patient.. We need not crack up! thats not the time.. If u guys continue this disgraceful behaviour then all i can say is "SHAME ON U"

I'm only like this because if we don't get 4th: Torres, Kuyt, Agger, Reina, Gerrard, Meireles, Cole, Johnson will all leave, leaving us in a mess. And from how we're playing currently, it don't look like happening.

I'm sorry but i got over Torres' hype last year. he's a good striker, i just dont fancy him much. And why would Reina/Agger/Meireles/cole leave? Meireles and Cole just signed this year. I don't know, you might be right but i wouldn't mind seeing a fresh start. It would be interesting.

If Torres left it wouldn't be a big deal. I'm sorry but i got over Torres' hype last year. he's a good striker, i just dont fancy him much. And why would Reina/Agger/Meireles/cole leave? This seasons red hot contender and favourite for 'sulk of the year', awarded to Gerrard last season. Got himself booked yet again yesterday I see.

It would make a statement that we are no longer a good club as we are selling our better players which will stop us from buying anymore quality players which allowed us to sign Torres in the first place.

totally agree with the above post by arda, and yes it is a big deal if we lose torres I think our goal difference is -3 who would score our goals. maybe use reina as a supporting striker?
rooney hasn't scored a goal since i don't know how long and he is not fit to lace the boots of torres in terms of skill or finishing. Its so shortsighted to blame a striker when things go wrong. Torres is a fantastic player he did more than most yesterday and it was a bad game for him . What do you want from the guy if you want someone who bleeds red put kuyt up front on his own ssee how he does
