I really can't blame him if he wants to leave come January. He wants to see quality players alongside him in order to win trophies. Personally i would be very disapointed if i was at the prime of my career without major silverware on my CV and thats probably what he is thinking. With our current crisis, I dont think we're even close to winning anything so if he was to leave then i wish him th best and good luck to him. It would be very sad to see him leave ofcourse but i wont be angry with him. I think him and Fabregas are destined for Barca next season.

I think Torres might also be worried about ending up like Gerrard where your career is held back through blind loyalty, Gerrard who like Alan Shearer both put loyalty before there careers. Lets be honest if Alan Shearer at the time had signed for United who came in for him ahead of his belovered Newcastle he would of finished his career with four or five league championship medals and probably two European Cup ones, instead he left the game with one solitary League Cheampionship medal he won at Blackburn, Gerrard should also have won more major medals than his one Champions league one also as both these players ability should of provided there eforts with so much more out of the game.

Surprising comments from a fan, more what you'd expect from 99% of today's pro footballers. I respect Shearer more than nearly any man to have ever played the game. It has nothing to do with 'blind loyalty'.

It's the kind of chat some of the old pros probably have when they meet up years after retiring. You could get the pro who won everything but not for his childhood team and someone like Shearer who listens to it all, then with a wry smile said "yeh you won it all, but I played for Newcastle".

I get that, that's why he said Fu*ck the Mancs and I never hear him talking with any regrets.

Maybe when Gerrard retires it may sting for a while but he will probably look back in the same way?

Torres is younger and still has the time; his body language as others have pointed out is saying it all. It appears he's genuinely feeling like he's wasting his time.

This topic will all hinge on whether a new owner comes in before the next transfer window and if the right players are available to buy from the off so he gets the support from other areas of the field he needs.

When i hear supporters saying "i don't blame them for leaving" ETC ETC its really get me mad what is it , if players manager or the tealady doesn't want to be at Liverpool football club then leave and A.S.A.P. , not wishing these people all the best just ridiculous how supporters think this way for me its just mercenary players taking the p155 out of all of us , The best way for any player or anyone else at the club to earn respect and there money is to play to the best of there ability and not to cry and moan about other issues .

I think the problem we all make is thinking footballers are the same as fans and they are not, not even players like Gerrard, Shearer or Jamie Carragher are the same as us. A footballer and his career are the most important things after his family supporting a club does'nt even come into it, Shearer obviously thought under Keegan they were on the verge of taking over United which history proves they never he would not of even thought of going to Newcastle if they were fighting relegation, similar to Gerrard he in the past has thought we are on the verge of something which has also backfired on him. The question I would like to ask people is in 20 or 30 years time what player will of had the best career a player with a cabinet full of major medals like Michael Carrick or Wes Brown or players who were great individual players like Shearer and Gerrard but with only two major medals between them, just makes me think a bit.

The body language probably comes from the fact he's not fit and somewhat complacent. He should get out there and play.

The attitude of a lot of players is 'I play for Liverpool, therefore I'm great and I don't really have to make much of an effort'. They all have that same attitude as Torres except for maybe Carragher.

He needs a rocket up his arse not an arm around his shoulder. He's a bloody professional sportsman who gets paid a huge amount of money to play football for our beloved club.

So much rubbish on here. You pick any player in the world and you stick him up front for us at the moment, and he won't do f all cause the team have 0 creativity. We are used to Torres making something out of nothing but that was a luxury. Now you all turn on him because now the team is playing so sh!t he can't play a back 4 all by himself? The footballing world is bigger in the number of teams but smaller in the sense everyone knows about everyone. There are very few 1 club players now, and you can't blame a top player for wanting to win stuff. That is what it's about silverware for top players. You put Torres in a side that actually plays some football and he will score goals. There are 8 other players at the moment in the 11 that are playing [oops] consistantly, there is a manager who is setting his team of good players up in a way that they end up playing the worst football in the league. If u have to make a pop, have a pop at them before you do fernando cause he can't take on 4 players at once anymore.
