i get from shelvey's intreview on lfctv he's being prepared to play as a DM

this is intresting, he was a winger, no?

Could be a good run for him, loads of players are trained at other positions, just look at Manure's Anderson, was an offensive midfielder, second strker and even winger when he played in Brazil and now is being used as a CM...not bad, we need some good central players as Poulsen is not whats hot and Spearing is shyt..

why would we do that to him??

i think its great actually, he won't be getting uglier, but more like a midfield master

what interview? any way i dont get the whole idea of turning a attack minded/ box to box midfielder in to a dm. i think he could do a job for as there, i think his got a bit of everything in his game so he could play in the alonso type position. i would hate for us to turn him into a mascarano type of a player coz this boy has got the talent to become a top top box to box mid

These are my thoughts exactly, it would be a crime to turn him into a DM, he has some similaritys to stevie, let him learn off him and hopefully he might end up something like. But to play the lad as a DM is a terrible idea, granted we don't have a particuly good one but that doesn't mean we ruin a good player.

what happened abt given the youngster and fringe players a chance of playing? i thought roy said he would give the youngster a chance. alot of you guys are going with the likes of torres and gerrard. do you really want those players playing and run the risk of getting injured/fatigue just before we play man sh!t.

*when merelies is playing shevely and him will take it inturn sitting and going forward. when spearing is on pitch he will just sit there and allow shevely to be more creative

am glad we agree .ok dingo we should start a petition abt turning shevely into dm. we will take it all the way to the top (mayb as far up as the canteen lady) i will allow you to do all the leg work but i will support you from far far away .

on a serious note shevely has quality and we need to allow him to express him self not put shackles on the young lad
