And here we go with the brainless comments.!!
LFC in total were complete rubbish tonight but true to form here you go blaming Lucas, Did you not see anybody else play poorly tonight? let me save you a bit of time by highlighting the worst of the bunch.
Kuyt, Ngog, Jovanavic, Torres, Johnson and Agger could have gone through the entire team but to be able to highlight the above shows how poor we were.
Don`t get me wrong the others inc Lucas were no better but to start a thread just on him is a joke, the guy would be a good squad player but should not be a first teamer yet.

Listen I am not saying that he is a good/bad player, I think he has been held back by Rafa over the last few years and I`m hoping that he can start to play in his more natural role under Roy.Less face it we weren`t the only team interested in buying him at the time.
You guys make me smile when you rave about Kuyts work rate etc.. the simple fact is he is a terrible player but he runs around alot so he must be good, [oops].!
Lucas gives it 100% also when on the pitch, the formation last night did him no favours at all and Stevie only played for 10 minutes in 2 x 5 minute spells so he didn`t get much help either. I think that to come on here spouting about how bad Lucas is after the game is more than a little harsh as the whole team were very poor.

well it wasn't the performance last night that made me see how bad of a player lucas is. i've been saying it for 3 years. he can't handle the tempo and the physique of premier league. you could see it from day one and unfortunately 3 years later it's still the same...

Lucas cost us the 08-09 season. He started in the games in which we drew (Fulham, West Ham etc) ahead of Alonso and was completely average. He conceded the late penalty against Wigan which we drew. He got sent off against Everton in FA Cup when we were controlling the game at the time. He constantly gets picked and is so average that he looks awful. Roy made a mistake keeping him and getting rid of Aqua. I've also noticed loads of people slagging of Babel yet I can think of loads more games where Babel has impressed. The fact is, Babel hasn't been given the chance whereas Lucas plays 90 mins week in week out and still fails. What I also don't understand, is Roy making changes in 60th and 70th min against Arse when we were good and making changes in 78th min when we were awful and the game was lost.

If masch had played yesterday the result would have been different. The city midfield was strolling around and Gerrard could not cope with the 3 DMs as Lucas had disappeared. Masch would have made his presence felt, Gerrard would have been move advanced and it would have been a different story. The back 4 had no protection either and both Agger & Johnson were exposed by lack of any cover from Kuyt & Jovanic who both had bad games. Lucas shouldnt play in the first team again this season or we are doomed.

He is useless and must be sold, as the rest of Rafa's STARS!!!!!
You can see now how much damage has Rafa done to the LFC, he has lowered the standard so badly it will take Roy so much time to put right, and I feel for Roy so much he is a decent manager, and I wish him all the luck, and I think he will turn it round after so many years of bad failure under Rafa for the past five years.

Sorry my friend but if you think Lucas is a good player you obviously have no idea about football or have probably never played it. I have been telling everyone for 2 years that this lad is not good enough to wear a red shirt( I agree with you there are a few others) but just look at Lucas he is the slowest player I have ever seen, an average passer an average tackler cant head a ball to save his life doesnt score goals so what does he contribute? the answer is nothing. yes there were other players poor last night but lucas is always poor. GET RID!!!!
