i actually think this could prove to be a very good deal if true (and im not only saying this because he's a swede ). he's big and strong and very good in the air so he would be able to play as a lone striker. i still think his best position is as a 2nd striker, he has the pace, vision and technique. i just wonder if we'll be playing 4-4-2 more often if he arrives and what role will cole have then?

I've advocated for a while that we needed to be looking at a player who would not be just a one trick pony and be sat on the bench waiting for Torres to be injured or rested. No ambitious footballer was going to come and play second fiddle. But by going for a player who is not only able to cover for Torres up top if needed, but who can also play in the hole or directly alongside Torres, gives Roy options and also means the player can look at the move as a step forward and not just being back-up to Torres. Good move Roy if the speculation of a bid turns out to be true. Just a side point...£9m bid??? Still some wedge in the kitty then?

Enough to get this deal done hopefully, 9m should well be enough to get him. I hope it comes good.

Make no mistake that Woy has strong contacts in Scandinavia. Toivonen looks ok nothing - special to me.
