Perhaps we can take some comfort in the fact that the manager was happy for him to leave. I'd only have him near the squad as a last resort. The other candidates for LB are no worse than him.

CAN NOT BELIEVE DEGAN WAS ON 60K. christ we got rode there.get him out now ! to many average players on huge money at the club..Benitez was crazy with some of those players salaries.

I'd like for us to wait for the outcome of the takeover bids before we sign anyone else. We are being linked with too many players who would be average. Wait a week or two and we might just have a few coppers to spend on properly good players.

agreed if new owners get in befor transfer ends we should see a big name or two and with tight limit on squad numbers this season it wouldnt be wise buying now
