Decent squad player play right and left back very experienced good signing .

Awful footballer. Got absolutely roasted last season and couldn't get his game for Villa. After the high of Joe Cole signing, we are being brought back to earth with a very big bang if this is the sh*t we're trying to bring in.

If i'm honest i cant see the logic in wasting 2-3m on him, granted he can play LB/RB, but we have plenty of cover for RB, plus we also now have Wilson and Agger who can both cover at LB, we just need to sign a top quality LB...

2 to 3 millions for a very experienced English full back and your not even giving him a chance , at least it wasn't the 7-8 millions wasted on a unknown Italian like Mr Benitez spent ( Drossena) ,luke young is an English premier league squad player who is very experienced and looking around the villa fans don't want him to go , he is back up all across the defence can't really see the problem with this signing .

apparently his wage demands are the stumbling block cant believe and average player like luke young would turn down a move to liverpool how many people do you know wouldnt take a wage cut to play for us good riddance better than darby but kelly should be understudy maybe not the same standard yet but would rather see youth development than 31 year old villa rejects

maybe sees glen up in midfield on the right. he could do a job there. not ideal but if money is tight then we got to make do
