too old, too expensive and hasn't played much football for a while.
i know he's got a huge reputation and an unbelievable record in spain, europe and at international level but do you really think he will ever be able to find the form he possessed when he was in his prime?
i think for a player like him, its definitely the wrong time in his career to test himself in the premiership. he's just looking for a pay day that will generously see out his career.
i know roy hodgson has got the best out of some of his older players like murphy, davies etc. but look at morientes he flopped like a flaccid pen1s and raul will be no different. its like united signing owen, had a great career but at this moment in time... he's poo!
