Great to see Joe Gomez finally getting some game time this season and his assist for the first goal against Watford shows he too has something to offer going forward.

In our CL and EPL winning seasons he was outstanding beside VVD and could be a very important part of our success going forward.

I would almost be tempted to start him against City at RB as I think defensively he could well be stronger than TAA and that’s going to be important against Sterling et all this coming weekend.

Mad that he was just sitting on the bench. Our strength and depth is very good

I'd definitely start him at RB v Citeh, he's a much better defender and showed he can when needed get down the flank and deliver a decent ball into the box.

It'll be interesting the formation Klopp lines up v Citeh because the last time we went 4-3-3 @Citeh we got mullered 4 nil. The last game @Citeh we drew 1 v 1, that was because we matched Citeh's 4-2-3-1 formation.

That 1v1 lineup:

Alisson

TAA Matip Gomez Robbo

Hendo Wij

Jota Bobby Mane

Salah

I would still start Trent because him and Salah have a great relationship and they usually combine to create goals from the right. We shouldn't be afraid of city, start our best 11 so Trent should start.
