He did the job fine, except maybe the penalties

He did well, however I would always go with my best available for any Final. Fine lines and all that but Alisson's distribution, shot stopping and experience is much better.

Glad it didn't bite us on our ass and Klopp banished recent Wembley hoodoo's.

Would Allisson have been any better on the penalties? I do not remember him saving many for us?

Congratulations guys, a fantastic win, I've been craving a cup win for years so I am delighted. Diaz was class, Salah was poor based on his standards. I wasn't happy with the substitutions because it weakened us and it gave Chelsea the initiative while they made strong substitutions. Some of the penalties weren't that great, I think a better keeper would of saved a couple, some of them were near the middle but Kelleher scored so I can't complain. It made it sweater because Kepa was acting tough and tried his best to play mind games but failed miserably. Just my take on the game but I am very happy. Hopefully we can lift more trophies this season.

On another note...

Everton have received an apology from the head of the professional referees body Mike Riley after they were denied a penalty in the 1-0 defeat by Manchester City on Saturday.

The Toffees wrote to the Premier League to complain about the decision when Manchester City midfielder Rodri seemed to use his arm to control the ball.

Neither referee Paul Tierney nor video assistant referee Chris Kavanagh deemed it was worthy of a spot-kick despite complaints from fans and Everton boss Frank Lampard.

Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) boss Riley called both Lampard and Everton chairman Bill Kenwright on Monday to apologise for the incident, which could prove costly to the club's bid to stay in the Premier League.

"We've lost a point because of a professional who cannot do his job right. It is so incompetent to get it wrong," Lampard said following the game at Goodison Park.

I was up in arms watching this game thinking it was a rigged decision, not giving a pen. However there was a definite offside in the build up where Richarlison was off side when the ball was played into him in the box. The baffling thing was VAR was so centered on the ball hitting Rodri's arm, which was handball however had they pulled the video replay back to full passage of play it would never have been given anyway. So I was baffled but satisfied in the end that a pen would never have been given anyway.

I thought that, when VAR check for a goal, they usually say, now they are checking for offside in the build up, if they would have just said handball check, now checking for offside, oh yeah, it was offside, we would not have had this reaction.

With VAR they have the time as they are checking, they should have made it clear it was handball, but irrelevant as there was an offside in the build up, no one would have complained then.
