FSG have this problem of keeping players for far too long in the hopes they can sell on for profit when players are well past their sell by dates and are stinking up the club.

Our Academy has also been a huge failure when you compare it to the likes of Chelsea, City or even Arsenal. Other than Trent, I can't remember any other player in the FSG era that has come through the Academy to become an ever present in the squad?

Not too sure if it is FSG not willing to sell or Klopp holding on to players. If I take Origi, I am sure FSG would have sold him at 25m after we won the CL, but he was offered a new contract, this cannot happen without Klopp's wish. I am also sure FSG would have sold Wij instead of allowing him to run his contract down. Minamino should be sold and we can make a profit, but I think Klopp doesn't want him to go. Klopp stubbornly wants to improve players I feel, especially those he bought

I thought it was really odd that Klopp did not replace Milner with a more attacking player almost immediately after the sending off.

Indeed, especially as they replaced an attacker by a defender as soon as Xhaxa was off
