All the sound bites coming from the club says January. I don't understand how an impact injury can last this long, I think the club are hiding something and it's clear whenever Klopp gets asked in the presser he dodges the question.

I think it must have been a knee ligament tear which didn't require an operation. I was surprised it was so bad for VVD despite him walking off the pitch on his own.

When I done my ACL & MCL, I felt and heard a pop in my knee, followed by swelling and severe pain. Loss of range of motion and feelings of instability are also common until surgery is done to repair them.

Surgery is a lot more advanced since I did mine, however still to this day something like 90% of folks who suffer them end up with debilitating osteoarthritis in their knee later on in life.

As soon as VVD did his I called it, it's unmistakeable to somebody who has experienced it. Now Thiago...I think it's something he has carried before he came to us. A lot of players carry a lower pain threshold and aren't willing to sacrifice that pain for the greater cause of the club. I believe Thiago could become our new Sturridge?

Klopp said in an interview a few days ago Thiago is not training with the squad yet, so until he does that (maybe next week) he will not be considered for playing.

Yeah, great Milner is back, we are strong in MF with a weeks rest and Keita, Ox & Milner back, Shaq maybe available also, so I cannot see Thiago being rushed back for WBA, which will be quite a physical game with Allardyce in charge now.

Klopp has said not risking him against West Brom but it sounds like he is fit again and probably see him on bench against Newcastle
