I can see trouble brewing if FSG deny Klopp funds after what he has done. In private I'm sure Klopp is seething, no doubt we'll see next season the cracks in Klopp's personna appear if FSG continue to deny funds to bolster the squad.

I heard on an Athletic podcast a few weeks ago they were still committed to developing the Anfield Rd, but everything is on hold ATM.

Klopp has never been a cheque book manager, when he was at Dortmund, every year he would lose 1 or 2 star players, often to his biggest rival Bayern, so i think holding onto his top players is his biggest requirement to keep him happy.

When Klopp signed his new deal a year ago, I am sure he would have agreed the strategy and plan going forward before he committed, Covid was obviously not around then, but they must have had a general plan, and being FSG, I am sure it wasn't we are gonna out bid everyone on the best players in the world and get a squad of Galactico's like City

Better to be playing rubbish when it is won rather than dropping points and falling behind rivals at critical times.

For all their "superiority" City now only have one trophy and one to go for.

In the meantime we have performed well when we needed to. We were all panicking about Leicester being close to us at Christmas and then we went and spanked them 4-0.

This team can stay right up there. It needs a tweak now and then but doesn't need a complete overhaul.

Nobody has been consistently good since lockdown with the exception of Man U who put in an absolute awful display in their cup semi final today. Don't think I have ever seen us play that bad.

I think their priority is CL qualification as they didnt start with their best available team

Having watched City go out 24 hours before and in the knowledge West Ham are almost safe from relegation and on the beach before Weds night it was a strange team selection. Their last game is away v Leicester. After seeing they were 3 down at HT well over an hour before the semi final kicked off it was a particularly amateurish approach by OGS. Also factor in that Leicester have Chilwell possibly out for the season and Maddison and Soyuncu definitely out again it was poor team selection against a side they had beaten 3 times this season.

Hopefully OGS will stay at Old Toilet and hopefully so will Pogba because he came on and just walked around Wembley like a tourist.

I actually had a fiver on Man U to win at 9/4 with 32 minutes played because it just looked like one of those games where they would nick a goal in a scrappy game and hold on. I love betting on Man Utd because I never win. It is money well spent as I bring them nothing but had luck.

They passed up a fantastic opportunity to take a trophy and missed out big time.

I think that his team selection was guided by their last 2 games to get CL qualification, American owners really need that revenue, trophies come second
