The tv rights for next year are already sold and dont think tv companies will be able to exit, clubs were gearing up to fight for their money even if there were no games anymore, now that's not even in question anymore, this is why all clubs accepted to re-start albeit without fans and I am sure there are no clause talking about attendance in stadiums.

The games on tv have lots of noise now, even booing, all artificial but the experience on tv is not very different when I watched, it just depends on the quality of the game. I hugely enjoyed our game against Palace, dont know about you. They say the Chelsea-City games was one of the best this season. Sponsorships as well wont have a clause based on stadium attendance and publicity is still the same on tv. We will also sell more merchandise than ever this year, so the main difference if not the only one will be on match day revenue and tv rights are supposed to go up next season.

Of course it will, but only very short term unless no vaccine is found and/or there will be no gatherings for a very long time. Apart from match day revenue, what difference there will be in the next 6 months assuming no gatherings are allowed? If anything I think there will be more and more focus on pay per view with match day revenues decreasing in importance, even in the future.

Moneywise next six months probably be fine I meant long term. Re pay per view I would love that but why would anyone subscribe to sky or BT thats why they won't do it. Also it would destroy the game clubs like Liverpool and man united would be able to out finance any team and they would dominate

I think the pay per view will go to the same broadcasters through auctions, it will not be the clubs as they dont hold the rights and will not, the EPL will sell the rights. Why would it destroy Liverpool and not Man United, I think United will be more impacted as they currently have the highest gate revenue, but in any case that shortfall will be recouped.

The games I've watched, most of the stadiums have even more advertising with the seating where the crowds would normally be, being utilized. Maybe the premiums for these areas have been sold at much cheaper rates? however I do see that clubs are making the best of a difficult situation.

Now as Champions the club must be seeing further doors of opportunity for revenue open up? I find it difficult to have empathy for our hierarchy because they always seem to squeal and complain first and a lot more than most. We aren't the "only" club in this situation but the way our hierarchy go about it, you'd think we were. Why do they have to always go on the defensive when money is involved?

Exactly my point, we will probably be the most profitable club over the last 3 years and the one having one of the lowest net spend, in top of that, we are the best placed for merchandising and sponsorship having won 2 major trophies during that period. If we still don't have money to spend then more than 75% of EPL clubs should be bankrupt already, but we were the first ti furlough, first to say publicly that we have no money etc. This is why I ask myself where the money is going.

PPV has caused huge problems in Spain as Barca & RM did their own deals getting huge money, it would be the same in PL with us & Man Utd getting big deals and the likes of Burnley & Sheffield Utd getting poor deals, which would mean the league would not be competitive.
