And as you also stated, it’s a fact that no where else is big enough to observe social distancing so it was a pointless dig at us not having a new stadium.

Unless you have a box at a stadium, most fans are packed in, certainly it is impossible to do any social distancing at 2+ metres when say watching a game, I don't think Anfield is any worse than the rest of stadiums.

This is abit like flying, my work were saying we need to use holidays now, as they do not want everyone returning to work say in June and having 25 days holidays to use in 6 months, so they may all jet off in July/August, but who would want to get on a plane for hours with 200+ people, any of which may have the virus, I can't see allot of people going abroad unless they have to for work etc.

So things maybe possible, but people may not have the appetite for it.

When it seems safe enough to do all the things I would normally do then yes I would be there if I could get a ticket. Three weeks before the lockdown I was still due to be going to the legends game. I still have those tickets. When the game is played if the world is back to normal then I don't see why I shouldn't go.

However at the moment I am successfully social distancing from everyone outside our household except for shopping and I am trying to keep those visits to a minimum and go at a quieter time.

The issue is it will be impossible to do this in a 50k+ environment but there are things you can do for yourself. You can get to the ground dead early and take up your position inside and as long as you don't need the toilets you can stay there until 10 mins after the final whistle and avoid the rush leaving the stadium. All easier said than done but you can probably avoid coming into close contact with a hell of a lot more people doing this.

My main concern is that because we are sanitising ourselves head to toe we are not going to come into contact with enough germs and nasties that our bodies just brush off as a minor intrusion. There must be a danger that our bodies find less to fight as the norm so when something like flu or similar comes along it is a real threat to all of us. The human body is not a fukking bottle of Domestos.

For the third time agreed there is no stadium where you can social distance however if you have to go it's better to be 4 or 5 feet away from the person next to you than 2 feet. Trust that's not too complicated ?

If and when it returns to the fans, it means that everything is normal again so yes I would go if an opportunity arises. If there is a little bit of uncertainty than of course not.

So where can you go and sit 4-5 feet away from people? I know I don’t go to football much now days but there’s no stadium that looks like they have that much room?

Manchester City I would say not been to Arsenal or spurs magnificent stadiums but I would imagine same there. I am average height 5ft 10in but at Anfield I have my knees in the back of the person in front and the knees of the person behind me in my back. It must be very uncomfortable for tall people at Anfield

City have 4-5 feet between seats (not counting the empty ones)???? I very much doubt it but I’ll take your word for it. I know Arsenal doesn’t as I know people who go regularly and my boss is a Spurs fan and has been but he didn’t comment on the seating.

I’m 6’5” tall and most public seating areas are uncomfortable. Buses, trains, some cinemas, even cafes in booths. All these spaces are made to get the most people in while being slightly comfortable. Football stadiums will be and are no different. If we had a new stadium the seating might have been slightly more roomy that current seating but not much. So like I say, it’s just another empty moan about not having a new stadium.

all I am saying if going to anfield will be worrying and the fact at anfield you are crammed in like sardines won't help matters. People are crammed in because they are fitting a pint pot into a tea mug

That's simply the way it is. As for new stadium yes I think Liverpool should have a proper stadium but that ship sailed long ago

So are the seats at the Etihad 2-5 feet apart?

You’re crammed in in every stadium except in a box like has been pointed out. It’ll be no worse at Anfield so again like I say it’s just an empty moan.
