Our pattern of play is getting predictable. Wear teams down by passing side to side then forwards then back out to the other wing and back again. The same players are providing the assists from the wide areas.

We stretch teams but in doing so we will have left opposition with an overload in the middle. So if a player gets the ball in the middle of the pitch the place is crowded and getting a clear shot off is nigh on impossible. What we do works well but against a team that parks the bus (which is quite a few of them) you have to take the chances you get inside the box.

The last few matches we have seen the full backs shut down or being doubled up on. If we can suddenly change the point of attack, which I think we may do v At. Madrid we will be able to surprise teams more.

We are too slow and low on intensity, opponents have all the time in the world to regroup. As soon as we are quick things change. Yesterday the passing also was awful.

The two goals we scored from came from a press from Mane and an interception and simple pass forward from VVD.

Apart from that we seemed to be strolling from side to side without that intensity because sides will simply let us have the ball and have no way of getting it back until we make a mistake.

We still got the 3 points that mattered though. Because of what are are capable of teams are really fearful of getting a 5 or 6 goal hiding. What we are doing is not only managing games but managing groups of games. The intensity probably not there the last 3 or 4 games as we have to save it for the CL.

We’re scoring more. That’s all that matters not where they’re scored from.

We've scored more last season, I was talking about this season when we are huffing and puffing in a lot of games and we've scored 56 with 9 games left. Last season Mane scored 22 from Coutinho's position but we would be much better if our midfield could score like Fernandes does regularly, even before he was bought by United.

You were talking about us scoring less without Coutinho which were not. We may score less this season but also win the league so what the hell does it matter? I’d take this “huffing and puffing” over a few long range goals any day. It’s just another excuse for you to moan about us not signing anyone.

Just to correct my original post we have 66 goals this season not 56.

Maybe some fans would have liked us to do a/the treble which United did, even City won 3 domestic cups last season, why settle for only the league?

Club World Cup. European super cup. There’s a treble IF we win the league. Possibly a quadruple too. But hey, maybe I’m not being ambitious enough.

The big treble is League, CL, and the domestic cup. We did win a treble under Houllier but it was not the big one

Says who? This is just your opinion to try and back up your moaning. I’d say being champions of the world is up there wouldn’t you?

Bottom line is all trophies are worth winning. Some just do t have the cache of others so don’t get priority.

And the bottom line below that one is that we’ve already two trophies in the bag.

For you winning the CL is probably the same as the Carabao cup right? This is why you wanted to scrap it, keep digging
