........It's not about being tired but rather the risk of being injured. Wouldn't like VVD to get injured in the FA cup game for example. But if you were to follow this thinking, then none of our primary players should have played in the Watford game or any other PL game while we have such a dominating lead. For what it's worth, I don't think Lampard will come at us full strength, for much the same reasons as for us except they're chasing Top4. That being the case, just got for it with some exceptions... Dominating lead doesn't mean we've won it already, a few performances as last Saturday and suddenly we are close to bottling it. If we had lost but with a good performance then it would be different, but not having a shot on target says a lot (hitting the post counts as off target). I think the last time we played like that was against United, dont remember if we were close to breaking a record then as well. I hope we played like that only because we couldn't take the pressure of breaking City's record

That was almost as flat as against Watford.
In fact we should have lost that game 4/5 - 0 given the opportunities we handed Chelsea.
What has happened to Fab by the way? Totally out of touch.
Adrián looked like Migs/Karius at their first goal, but got better after that blunder, and made some fine saves.
Minamino/Williams/Gomez to blame for their 2:nd goal. That looked very unnecessary.
Tell you what: If we balls it up on Saturday then I think we're in big trouble.
Never mind winning against Atletico next week if we play like this.

Subs: Lonergan, Milner, Firmino, Salah, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Matip, Chirivella. Half and half selection, screams half assed by klopp, we missed trent as Williams was poor, we missed Alisson as Mignolet II made another mistake with a shot straight at him, our usual front 3 should of started. I just don't get Klopp's thinking, either rest everyone and play kids or play a full team and go for it, this is the worst Chelsea team that I have seen in years, they were very beatable. Klopp did not learn from the Shrewsbury game where he played half the team and brought on subs way too late yet again. Very frustrating.

I'd rather we get this and the Watford games out of our system and concetrate on getting through to the next round of CL and wrapping up the PL Title.
Fabinho has not been right since he came back, slow and laboured, misstiming challenges and his passing has been bad. I'd look to drop him to bench v Bournemouth and bring Wij, Milner and OX in to the middle. We have to beat Bournemouth to give us some momentum for Atl Madrid 2nd leg.

In the old days, we used to call this match fitness or rustiness and the solution was to play more games, not less.
