As it stands our defence can keep out most teams and you don't need 100 points every season to win a PL title.

I don't want to lose players but I would rather win more trophies, especially PL and CL, than miss a chance to keep that ticking along.

Suarez was a favourite of mine as was Coutinho. Salah is too but just look what we are doing when we get money in. The upgrades are incredible.

Yeah, I'd agree, even though I'd hate to see Salah leave, even if he can be bloody maddening at times, but imagine being without him?? However with Jurgen Klopp doing the replacing and development, I think timely selling and replacement is the way to go, especially if we have the luxury of a season long to settle in

I’ve read today the Werner has a £25m buyout rather than the £50m reported. It’s based on certain things but makes even more sense to go after him.

I read that also, but you have to meet the price before the end of April the report said, at that price, I find it hard to believe that the likes of Man Utd, Chelsea, Bayern, Inter, PSG etc haven't activated his release clause, so I am guessing there is more to it?

It could be we have already triggered that and done the deal, but RB are in the run in for the Bundesliga title, we are in the PL & CL run in, so it could affect Werner's and both teams performances if it was announced they had sold him and he will leave at the end of the season.

It may have been already met and agreed with then if the buyout clause is that low, however you'd imagine that other teams would have spilled the beans to the press from being butthurt rejected?

Werner's stance in the media has been fairly bullish towards LFC so it would make sense to keep it under wraps until both Leipzig and Liverpool's seasons are more or less settled.

It'd be interesting to follow Werner's games until the season end just to see if his current team mates are giving him the cold shoulder...didn't Keita get treated like a red headed step son by his team mates when him coming to Liverpool was announced?

I don't think anyone would begrudge Salah a move if someone like RM came in for him, he has helped us win the PL & C, if we could sell Salah for £100+ million and get Werner for £30 million that would be great business, might even use the £70 million change as part of a move for Sancho ! Would be great to see us go big like that.

Anyone think moving Bobby into an AM position and inter change with Timo upfront during the game will work?

In some games against lower opposition it might.

But having our fullbacks bombing on and then an extra 4 players running around that high up the pitch would cost us against some better teams imo.

The balance seems to be about right as we are set up to play now, with mainly 5 players performing the art of attacking.
