The good news is that the spotlight that has been shining us for so long due to our amazing run this season was taken off us by UEFA's ruling last night against Man City. Meaning we can happily go about our business on the pitch for the next few weeks with less pressure.

Short term we get our 1st PL title won and then we can look to next season with our main rival likely handicapped by a points deduction at minimum, potential relegation from the PL maximum.

It's highly unlikely city have presented 2 completely different sets of financials...1 for UEFA and 1 for The PL which will definitely mean The PL also have to take action!

If that is the case and the cheating has been going on since 2012 will they get stripped of titles? Two in 70 odd years then 4 in 8 years from 2012? Doesn't add up does it?

Seems UEFA have presented their findings and punishment at a curious time indeed.

Just over a week until City travel to Real Madrid for the 1st leg of the CL tie, what could have been any more damaging for morale other than some horrific performance on the pitch?

They knew the media would whip this into a frenzy for at least a week or more, having every pitbull sports reporter asking for comment with anything to do with Man City...the English paparazzi printing headline after headline about it all...Bravo Real Madrid and your UEFA contingent smile

Contradictory it could motivate City, feeling as if they have been unfairly treated, for some of these players like Aguero & Silva it could now be their last go at the CL, so they will give it their all, I'm guessing RM aren't happy about the timing of this.

Good - hope they knock out Real. The world is always better off without that awful team.

We should wish them good luck in their appeal against Seppp Blatters mates.

I get that, the players got nothing to do with the situation at hand and their players performed and got the job done but on the other hand, city as a club used the funds in question to buy said players and give them an insane paycheck. Its really simple to me, give the club a relegation and let them think about what they have done and also strip their titles from that time frame. No other punishment will suffice as they will do this again in the future.

Amusingly City were bought to sportswash a dodgy regime in Abu Dhabi, now this has back fired and they are being globally seen as cheats and corrupt, makes you wonder how they will react, they could just pack up and go, all this legal challenge talk will drag their name through the mud and the worlds press will be all over them, so if this was all about giving Abu Dhabi a better profile to the world and get business/tourism, this is not going to help them.....

The punishment is already set for such offence and it's not relegation. To be fair the FFP has been put in place to protect the big clubs like Real and Barca and Chelsea did exactly that a couple of decades ago when there was no FFP. Before that United were buying the most expensive players year on year, but yes it was earned money rather than gifted, or gifted by their fan base.

That's the Uefa punishment which is set for breach of FFP, that they are banned from Uefa European competition, but there is also a FA Premier League investigation on going, so they could be sanctions from that, especially as Uefa have found them guilty already.

Might be wrong but dont think relegation is a punishment there neither. The spending limit in the EPL is higher than the FFP as well
