Just wondering if we needed to take the stance we have taken? We knew there would be a replay in this week if we drew the initial game. We took the gamble and we should have been prepared for the consequences. No?

Surely it would have been great for players that are not playing every week... Keita, Origi, Adrian, Lallana, Shaqiri…. why do they need a week off? Also, the game is on Tuesday... it's only a couple of days into the week.

Most importantly perhaps, given our position in the leagues we should be going for the treble.

I'm thinking it wasn't worth inviting negative debate by taking the stance we have taken. We should have just taken it on the chin and got on with it. If we want to rest players that's fine... but just let everyone find out when we announce the team in the usual manner.

The winter break has been planned well in advance so Klopp is right to stick to it, what the purpose of having a winter break but with games to be played?

Agree completely. The fa are wrong to schedule games for the break or what’s the point?

Apparently, the clubs also knew at the beginning of the season that event though a winter break has been planned, any 4th round ties going to a replay may be scheduled during the winter break. The clubs were aware of this and shouldn't have accepted it if they were so against it. Once they accepted surely they should get on with it?

As I said previously, they can still rest players but don't make such a big noise about it and try to make the FA look bad. The FA are in a difficult position and have already made efforts to accommodate a break for the premier league.

Even if we were correct, some battles are just not worth fighting... or better fought at a different time. I just feel this is one of those for use. Such a healthy position in the league, a positive totally positive atmosphere around the club, a treble winning opportunity and some players needing game time. We didn't need the distraction and perhaps should have seen the replay as an opportunity.

Also, if we de wrap up the league early, we could rest players in the league games and focus on the Cup and the CL. Not often that happens.

Or we could not rest players, get a few injuries and then deplete the much needed depth in our squad. We’re not home and dry in the league by a long way.

The FA are making themselves look bad. A winter break should be just that. Why schedule games during it whatever they are? They would have done this regardless of what clubs said.

The whole cup is antiquated. Replays should be scrapped. Why do we need two cup competitions? What other top leagues do or don’t have a winter break?

I'm not suggesting we rest players before the league is settled.

You may be right in everything you've said about the cup but surely this is not the way to address the issues, or at least not something we had to do this time round.

Anyway, let's see how things pan out.

I mentioned this the other day.

We have a strong enough 2nd team not to upset anyone and give the players who aren't playing game time.

Adrian, Williams, Hoever, Matip, Lewis Chirivella, Jones, lallana, Origi, Minamino, Elliot

Every one of these players would want to play more football than they have this season.

Are we not including The Super Cup and World Club Cup when speaking of our seasons potential tally?

Surely if we win the PL it's then a treble...if we win the PL and CL it's a quadruple...if we win PL, CL and The FA Cup it's a quintuple?
