He hasn't lost anything. The way Spain play him leaves him surrounded by 2 or 3 players & he never gets support. The service he gets is crap & Spain should go back to 4-4-2.

Have to disagree with you there mat, you have players like Inesta,Xavi,Alonso,Villa feeding the ball. Fact is he is just very rusty. Had an injury plagued season with us had knee surgery and went straight to the world cup, where the spped of the game is a lot slower than what he is used to. he's unfit and trying to adjust to a slower pace of the game.

If (and I hope) he doesn't go in the summer he will be firing on all cylinders by the time the season really kicks off.

I actually agree with scannerman. Ive watched all spain games so far and i gotta admit the partnership between villa and torres is not existent at all. One is on the far left and the other on far right i just dont understand it. When torres gets the ball, 3 players surrond him straight away and get the ball off him. Another thing Liddle, you say inesta, xavi, alonso, villa feeding the ball? when did this happen? Service is being very poor in my opinion, the players always pass it on the left to villa, and u know villa he has to beat the player and shot no matter what angle he is in, thats his only option but he wont pass the ball. Torres is not entirely to blame for his form.

To be honest am made up he's had a terrible World Cup. it serves him right for sacrificing the end of our season to play for his country, dont forget before he decided to have his operation, we still had an outside chance of finishing fourth and we were had a two legged semi final of the Europa league to look forward to against Athletico Madrid. The club needed to show some balls and tell him his first priority is to the team that pays him his obscene wages instead of letting him dictate what he wanted to do. Thats been the problem with our club for to long now, the lunatics are running the asylum and the tail is wagging the dog, lets just hope our new manager Roy has enough of a backbone to stop the likes of Gerrard, Carragher, Torres and Mascherano calling the shots.

This story is running in the Daily Mail for Monday headlined Torres is set for Liverpool exit as Premier big boys are interested.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footbal...interested.html

I'm sorry, but am I missing something when I read a newspapers article. It states "Fernando Torres appeared on the verge of leaving Liverpool on Sunday night after his agent indicated the striker is bound for another Premier League club. Chelsea are at the front of the queue to sign the Spaniard and Manchester City also showed interest before moving on to other targets when they got little encouragement from the 26-year-old. Agent Jose Antonio Martin said: ‘It is very likely that Fernando Torres will stay in the Premier League, but I cannot say that it will be with Liverpool. We are working on his future but right now you cannot guarantee that he will stay with the English club.'"

He cannot say it will be with Liverpool, but he cannot say it won't. So how does the headline come up with he is on the verge of leaving???

after reading the daily mail article the 2nd time round me thinks it is garbage as it quotes "But Hodgson knows such is the state of Liverpool’s finances — their debt is £472.5m — a big offer from either Chelsea or City for Torres will be almost impossible to turn down"

every time i see that sentence i conclude BS is about. anyway if the agent has said it, i'm presuming he has had no contact with torres so he is hankering for a payrise.
