We have been heavily linked over the weekend to Sam McCallum from Coventry, he's a 19 year old LB, though there was talk of buying him and loaning him back for the rest of the season, so probably more one for the future.

I guess it might depend how long Matip/Lovren are before they come back, we have 2 weeks until the window opens, and then its open 4 weeks, so it is 6 week Klopp has to decide if he can get someone in, I am guessing we are already scouting for a CB as it is expected Lovren will leave in the summer after nearly joining Roma, so it's whether we can do a deal now to get what is likely to be a summer target. At least with CL now they qualify, so that's an extra incentive to buy.

I'm watching the barca vs atletico cup tie right now and Atletico is the most negative team I have ever seen. Diego Simeone is probably the only manager out there more negative than Mourinho. They are defending with all 11 men within their own 3rd and there's almost always 6-7 players in their penalty box. I fully expect them to do a Man Utd special of parking the bus and hoping to nick one on the counter. Funny thing is their attackers don't look too great (and it's funny saying thus but I think they are inferior to Rashford and Martial)

But they still beat Barca.
