I admit I have been blown away by our form this season. I didn't expect us to carry on in the same vein as last season, however we've been lucky with no real longterm injuries, Alisson aside.
I still believe we need quality reinforcements because we can't possibly continue getting results when we have to call on the likes of Lallana and Origi for any extended spell from the start.

It is ALL Klopp in getting the team to perform. FSG have been exceptionally lucky to have got Klopp and not forced cheap acquisitions on him like they did with Brendan. FSG just need to keep the cheque book ready for January when Klopp says what he wants. Klopp is sensible with his decisions and won't be demanding Mbappe. However if there is a way to get a Sancho even if it does mean dropping a 100m or so then we should. It's not as if we haven't got it after all the revenues accrued over the last 4 or 5 years along with the sales of players. Klopp has to plan for the likes of Mane or Salah not being around forever...the fee for Sancho will definitely pay for itself he's only 19. It will also be good to have a fairly seamless attacking trident when we need to rest up somebody or enforced by an injury or ban.

Been slightly busy and commenting constantly on forums can get time consuming.

It's a long season we have tons of games in December.
I still think our squad is not strong enough, if 2 of our front 3 are injured then with wonder ahem boy and Origi as our backup we will be caught up rapidly.

If we do not buy in January and end up losing the title again, will you be forgiving FSG next summer?

Unless FSG say there is no money available, how can they be blamed? it's down to Klopp who we sign, if he asks for players and FSG cannot fund it, then I would blame them.

I think Klopp is happy with the squad, so I doubt we will sign any first team/squad members, I share your concern if we lose any of the front 3 for an extended period, Origi just doesn't fit into the front 3 from what I have seen, he's good from the bench to change it up for the last 15 minutes, but not as a starter. From what I have seen of Brewster, he is not ready for PL games we need to win.

I do remember Klopp saying we have bills to pay, doesn't this mean we don't have enough money? We all knew/know we have a very good first team but not the squad. So far we have been relatively lucky with injuries of our forwards, especially Mane and with the record number of games we still have to play, I hope we reinforce in Jan.

Klopp's certainly hinted a couple of times recently.

I expect as businessmen, FSG won't saction big spending for a squad player. Klopp knows you can't get anything close to the front 3 without spending big money and felt Brewster and Origi were worth their chance. He's got other options up top too.

As a fan of course we want a top top player to provide competition for the front 3, but they probably decided to see how the season went and if needed, buy in Jan, IF someone's available.

Klopp's very astute in the market and clearly willing to wait. The squad could use a little improvement but I'll trust the man who's made us the best team in world football.

I have come to believe Klopp is trustworthy too, up to a considerable point that is, but he is not infallible, he can make mistakes, same as all the rest of them, and in my opinion, he made a mistake by not strengthening the squad in the obvious areas during last summer. We've more or less survived the concequences of that decision so far, respite the odd wobble/close shave. Like Napoleon, I'll have a lucky general over a good general any day, but as Napoleon discovered, Lady Luck is a fickle bedmate indeed. I'm just living in hope she still loves us until the ides of May next.

I haven't contributed in months since 2 posters told me I should stop posting after I gave my opinion on Adrian, so since then I decided to take a back seat and just talk on the chat box in matchdays. I'm still around and loving the season if you're talking about me grin

the results have been going our way very nicely but im not jumping through hoops at our form.we are scraping over the line in so many games.we are either going to have an upturn in form and the performances will get better or we wont get the late goal we need and confidence will take a hit.
So although im very happy about the points we have gained so far i get the feeling we are not that far away from a bit of a slump.

The arrangement made for Keita should never happen again. Whilst we had made a deal already and allowed Leipzig to keep hold of Keita, Keita's form dipped and he came to us a much different player to the one we originally agreed to buying. As astute in other purchases, Klopp was the opposite on the Keita deal. One wonders how Keita would be for us now had we just paid the money Leipzig wanted at the time and not allowed him to go stale.

Must've been weird playing another full season in Germany knowing they'd pretty much already sold you.
We probably should've stumped up the cash but I don't see why anything would've changed. Players don't just 'go stale' at his age. He's been unlucky with injuries, shows glimpses but more likely unsuited to the prem and in this team there's no time for players to acclimatise. Few cup games and you never know, but our midfield seems so settled at the moment and play exactly how Klopp wants them to. Shaq's not getting a look in and Ox is starting to see game time so there's little room for change in Klopp's teams.
