Sorry Dunk. I’m not sure why I have to have comments like his “start watching games” one though? All I was doing was expressing an opinion and he’s effectively telling me it’s worthless. He does it all the time and there’s no need.

We pretty much dominated the entire game.

However I feel we would have won 6-0 if we had bought someone in the summer.

A bit soon there Shaggy, ur wee wifey would be disappointed with that one. If you can hold it till around Xmas or early Feburary, 'you'll be a man my son'.
As for the op, I missed the game due to a family event, however by all accounts it was a professional performance, and all players won their own battles, and apparently the score could have been even more of a statement. What more could we ask for? Four games, four wins, max points....brilliant!

I'm not worried about Mane losing his temper. If anything, it shows high standards and ruthless hunger that previous Liverpool teams have lacked, and we'll need that edge to beat City to the title. Salah made the wrong decision in the heat of the moment, but he nearly pulled it off with that bit of dribbling.

Mane and Salah have already made up according to Pearce at the Athletic, and the laugh they're having on Twitter. Such a good team we've got.

It's interesting how Mane & Salah have behaved, they are both great players and want to score goals, Salah has a real selfish streak where he will try and take something on than lay it off for a team mate who is in a better position, but then he will get a great goal out of nothing, so you need abit of that selfishness sometimes.

It just shows you their mentality's though, it shows you why it was so difficult for Klopp to bring a forward in over the summer, look at how they react to being taken off early, imagine how they would be if they were told they were not playing as we just bought someone like Fernandes for £70 million and want to give him a few games! Klopp has a big job juggling them and keeping them happy.

Aguero is also never happy when substituted, I remember the arguments in the Spurs game. That didn't prevent Pep playing Jesus and it is his job to manage players and making them accept (if not agree) that he knows better what's good for the team. Nobody will be able to play 2 games every week and that will happen when the CL starts, plus we have the FIFA tournament as well in Dec. Maybe we do have the players for that, we'll see.

Wonder how Mané or Salah would react if they got injured and Klopp forced them to play?

-"Sorry guys you couldn't handle the prospect of having a 4:th wheel under the wagon to offload your duties. You wanted to play all 64 games this season, and guess what - now that you are injured you will both have to play anyway. I have no other option".

Noone is bigger than the club. And if they can't take that then there's nothing we can do to solve the issue.

The important thing is that we win silverware. That will make it worth sitting on the bench once in a while for the whole squad.

That's what Klopp is paid to deal with, does he spend big money on a forward and risk disrupting the front 3 or take the risk with the cover we have from Origi/Brewster/Shaq, we will find out if it was the right decision come the end of the season with the trophy count I guess.

Yes but it also has some bearing into the future.

Let's assume one of the front 3 decides to leave next summer. In what position does that put us?

We will be forced to sign a new recruit and get him to click instantly to avoid dropping like a lead baloon.

We needed a 4:th wheel under the waggon and we still do.

I do not think we will make a big forward signing until one of the front 3 leaves, then that will be a big signing, but more like an up & coming player, like a Pepe who is big money buy, but not fully proven yet, like Firmino, Mane & Salah were when we bought them, we won't buy a big name forward who is already top of their game.

We will be looking at replacements already for when one of them leaves.

You might be right there.

It's a bit frustrating though to keep getting the hopes and ambitions up. We are back where we belong and you'd think the club would do all in its power to keep us there or even strengthen more to get us to the next level.

But apparently not. What matters to the owners seems to be making money and to stay within touching distance of top 4.

The upcoming transfer windows will be interesting to monitor. Act or react - that is the question.
