Big Signings are great but there's nothing like home grown talent
My vibes tell me we have a good batch coming through
Obviously Brewster springs to mine but what others (if any) do you think could make the huge leap into liverpools first team on a regular basis ? In other words to be like a new signing not just the odd cameo ?
Thank you for responding

Thank you for responding Hoever looked quite good in the one preseason game I watched against Lyon, the left full back was not bad neither, however, expected much more from Brewster following the hype, didn't look anywhere near a teenage Owen.

Unless the 2 new acquisitions of Van Den Berg or Elliott are superstars in the making, I don't think any of the kids will make a breakthrough. We'll probably play the kids in the domestic cups and get knocked out in the early stages thus freeing up the prioritized PL & CL for the team.

Brewster gets minutes as he has been promised to keep him at the club. Hope he makes it. Not sure any of the others warrant anything maybe Hoever and Larousse ( apologies for spelling) might play. Then it is Wilson...i hope he gets to play but doubt it. If Lovren leaves Nat might get some minutes. If Alisson and VVD get injured and miss games together.......well less said..

Brewster, ELiot, and Hoever impress me. Wilson, I'm not so sure. He has talent, and he has a knack for scoring free kicks and worldies, but he's slow and goes missing a bit.

If we don't sign a left back I can see laroucci getting a few games.

Laroucci looks promising. Quick as lightning at any rate. Robertson has a pretty good fitness record, so he probably won't play too much, but I would be fine with him as the odd rotation option.

I'm usually pretty good at keeping up with our promising players. But I've never heard of him before this pre season

Elliot looks the most impressive of the young bunch imo. But that's from seeing him just a few minutes in 2 games.
Brewster. Maybe, but have gone missing a bit lately.
Wilson looks in & out of games. Mostly out. But then turns up for set pieces and makes fine shots. Will that warrant him any game time? Doubtful.
Van den Berg is probably one for the future. If Lovren goes (which I doubt), then maybe Nat will play a few games. Neither of them will probably break through this season.
Larouci looks impressive. Will come handy, because we will have to rotate our fullbacks this season.
And that is why I think Hoever will see some game time too.
But I think both these young fullbacks will play too few games to have a real breakthrough season. Well they might cement themselves into the squad, which in itself might count as breaking through?

I watch a lof og u23 and u 18. First when i saw Larouci i thought he was too wild and running into corners but he has gotten much better though his final ball needs to get better.
