Athletico Madrid have just signed Joao Felix for £113 million, he's played less than a year and has scored 15 goals in Portugal, should FSG have bought him?
This may get the market going though.... Griezmann will now goto Barca, Barca may sell Dembele.....

Do you think if we had not sold coutinho for 140million that FSG would have still bought Allison and VVD?
not a chance in hell.
I can tell you another thing if Coutinho, Dembele, Pepe, etc are available 90million min for all 3 that FSG will buy any of those unless we sell a Salah or Mane first?
If we don't buy anyone we go backwards. And lets be honest finishing 2nd is losing the Premier league not winning it.

It really is difficult to understand the negative mentality of Welsher and energy sapper!!! We are Champions of Europe and have arguably the best manager in the world with owners who brought him here and support his sensible attitude that will keep us at the top for a long time but still “there’s no pleasing some people !” Brilliant ..No offence Vish. Agree but not with the no offence bit.

Forget the CL win an finishing 2nd, are you all convinced by FSG?
Are they the best owners we can hope for?
or are they simply Hicks and Gillet mark 2 with a slightly better PR department?
I know many people will look at them with rose tinted glasses after last season, but with the amount of money we are pulling we should at the very least be competing with PSG, RM, Barca, etc in the transfer market YET we cannot even compete this summer with West Ham, Southampton, Man Utd, Spurs, Chelsea, in the Prem.
something is seriously wrong with the flow of money when we can only spend big after selling one of our stars for BIG MONEY.
DISCUSS Forget the CL win? FORGET THE CL WIN?? As for the rest of the post absolute tosh!

But we have 2 forwards rated well in excess of £90m and a third one in Firmino rated at around £90m. You want us to buy a 4th player of that value without selling one. Can you please tell me which club anywhere in the world has 3 such players let alone 4? By the way ......... WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS OF EUROPE!!!!

This may get the market going though.... Griezmann will now goto Barca, Barca may sell Dembele..... Yep the market will move now. Although it could be Coutinho leaving Barcelona to get Neymar back. Klopp would like Dembele and he is the right age. I just think that maybe with a few clubs pushing the limits on what they can spend and keep that there might be a really good deal out there towards the end of the window. An opportunity too good to miss somewhere and maybe a high profile loan player from a club that gets overloaded.

Yeah, abit like when Roma dropped their valuation on Alisson from about £100 million to £65 million, so we got him, I just think Barca will want their pound of flesh from us over the Coutinho fee, so if we went for Dembele, it would be £100+ million for us.... Fernandes price may come down, Sporting seem eager to offload him, Fekir price is dropping all the time as he go's into the last year of his deal, I heard he was available for about £25 million now, we were willing to pay over double that last summer, I do think we will bring someone attacking in, but we are playing the market for the right deal. One thing you have to say is that our transfer people know exactly what they are doing based on the previous couple of years, so we just need to have faith in them, but it's frustrating!

Pretty sure there are quite a few top players out there who would love to come to Anfield. There is probably a queue. We need to select the right fit at the right price.

Blah blah blah. I know we made a shitte load and you don’t know that we won’t spend it. Limitations. Unless you’re a phychic? Or do you have a source as reliable as your new soul mate Welshie?
It’s just something else to moan and bitch about but hey, there’s a Y in the day so no surprise you’re moaning. No need to be a psychic, just need to understand a bit of finance, but I better not start arguing to people who don't have a clue, hip hip hooray, this is what you understand. Oh dear. That’s all you have. Happy moaning tiresome.

In all seriousness, this is not FSG, Klopp is buying who he wants, he has never been a cheque book manager, he prefers to buy up and coming players and develop them, that's what he did at Dortmund with players like:
Robert Lewandowski $4.7 million
Neven Subotic $4.5 million
lkay Gündogan $5.5 million
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang $13 million
Shinji Kagawa $8 million
Ivan Perisic $5.5 million
Marco Reus $17.1 million
if you want 3 galactico's a season, we need Mourinho! I know who I would rather have.
Apparently he took allot of convincing to buy VvD when the price went to £75 million as he did not want to spend that much, but really wanted the player, so it was FSG who convinced him it was ok.
You cannot compares H&G with FSG, H&G bought the club on a bunch of lies and financed us down the river, we nearly went bust, having fire sales of our best players to pay the next loan payment. FSG are running us as a business, we are generating profit and investing that in the club, things like the Main Stand expansion and the new training centre.
If Klopp wants a £50+ million player, I am sure the money is there, John W said that at the CL final. If you look at the deals, not many are being done, most clubs are looking for value in the market and do not want to pay the quoted crazy prices, like Maguire & Zaha are being quoted at £90+ million! If that is true then I hope he is convinced that if we hadn't bought VVD and Alisson at record prices, we would probably have only made 4th, only just, no need to even discuss about their performance in the CL. He wanted the player, he knew he would improve the team, he just thought £75 million was too much, looking back now, it seems a bargain when players like Maguire are quoted at £90+ million. What I am saying is that he should be convinced now that quality costs money. Alisson also came at a then record price and it was lucky that Karius did the same CL mistake in pre season else I fear he might still be around as Klopp was saying his mistake in the CL came out of a concussion. Klopp is great but on transfers he reminds me a lot to Wenger whose main concern was to develop players.
