Surely if City haven't cheated they could sue Der Spiegel out of existence now and send UEFA running for cover.

It's right up there with the athletes and cyclists cheating by using performance enhancing drugs.

It's all in the emails, Der Spiegel simply put the timelines together! Having various family members companies sponsor you and having the amounts open until the end of the fiscal year when you can put any figure in to comply with FFP is just one of many grifts they are doing.

Read that it is unlikely that the findings will be overturned in the appeal.

What appeal, have City been charged yet?

There's another angle to this. What's wron with someone wanting to spend so much money on a club?

The danger is a club can be put into huge debt and risk going under buy risking it's future, that's what happens with the likes of Leeds & Portsmouth etc, so I think Uefa were trying to stop that, which I can understand.

It's all about sustainability I guess, the likes of us, Man Utd, Arsenal etc are ran from club income, so they are sustainable, you look at Chelsea and City and they are bankrolled from personal wealth, what happens if the owner gets bored or circumstances change and they pull out? players are on big long term contracts, this has happened to lots of teams in Europe, so I can understand why they want to have controls in place.

Problem with FFP is it keeps the big club cartel safe and takes away the dream for small clubs of someone like an Abramovich coming in and bankrolling their club into a winner, like Jack Walker at Blackburn, they were in Division 2 and he bankrolled them to win the PL, now he's passed away and they have dropped back down to their 'normal' level.

Could this be delayed if City found guilty - they appeal through Arbitration of Sport Courts in Switzerland?

Think the owners will tie it up in nots with their defence council - could it be drawn out for a couple of years anyone know??

Pressure from the band of 12 PL teams who wrote to PL & FA about what came out about City, really needs to gather pace. Making more and more people aware and the authorities will have to do something about it!

There is no question City have done wrong here and they are going to get prosecuted. The most reasonable action to take until all decisions / investigations are made is a transfer ban. Chelsea are still under investigation and were put under a 2 window transfer ban, why haven't City?

Juventus were relegated for match fixing. This is right up there so same punishment should be given, if not start the season with negative points.
