There are 45 million UK voters I don't know the intelligence or level of research they have done and neither does john Barnes. It's funny how it's only brexit where this question arises no one ever questions how intelligent the voters are before general elections or previous referendums. We voted to join the common market in 1975 I presume these new rules don't apply to that and back then we did know what we were voting for ?
It probably applied then as well and the fact is, EVEN NOW, people have different views on the outcome, nobody knows for sure. That doesn't make anybody thick as some Brexiters claim Barnes implied.

Barnes claimed ordinary people did not understand it was a daft thing to say and he instantly realised his mistake and backtracked. To be fair after that he was really good maybe it was nerves. As for people having different views well of course they do ! Do you expect 45 million people to have exactly the same thought every minute of every day ?

I wonder if anyone questioned the fact that who ever voted remain also did not know what they were voting to stay in for,do only remainers know what we are going to sign over to the people in brussels Over the coming years, those people who we cant actually vote in or out or have any say on what rules they want to apply.
Do they all know how much of our countries assets we are going to have bled dry including the army for what that's worth these days.
Slowly Brussels will run this country further into the ground to make sure we cant do anything and wont be in a position to complain.
Brexit is not just about the economy.

What I find interesting is that Britan is very fond of unionism ("Our beloved Union") when it's theirs to run as they see fit, but not so fond of unionism when they can't run it as they see fit, as is the case with the EU. Is there a name for that kind of mentality?

Ill have to look that up Herc,that bliss is fading now though,people are waking up and can see what they vote for isnt everything it seems (all be it a little late) hence the vote of get the whole lot out feeling,starting with the EU of course.  Maybe a little poem to cheer us up is needed from you Herc.
