Or maybe you have to ask yourself why are locals in the pub in the first place and secondly why would a person actualy be going to watch a club if its not there own and they have no connections with the area, unless ofcorse its because that club has been a succesful club in the past, which would in turn make them a gloryhunter, and if that being the case they would'nt be genuine afterall would'nt you agree.

definition of a glory hunter? someone who wants to follow a successful team.

now since lfc went into decline the number of locals at games has... at a guess halved. whilst the number of oot fans has... at a guess doubled!

so who are the glory hunters? locals or oot fans?

I would lie to find a Pied Piper who could rid the club of it's vermin infestation. The owners, chairman, directors and all the other rats need to be squashed and swept away. I'm sick to the back teeth of thier clueless and poisonous regime.

Come the revolution...

I dont think a local can really be a glory hunter myself, he will always be the lifeblood of the club because he is part of the fabric which the club is built on, bit like fans of Peterborough, Stockport, Port Vales and Gillinghams of this world. Alot of people i know trace the start of the glory hunting fans attending goes back to the beginning of the 80s and Thatcher. The people of the City were'nt working so never had much money to go the match, Peter Robinson and John Smith started lifting the clubs skirt to foreign and Out of Town fans simply because they had more money to spend and with Liverpool being the best and most succesful club in the world at the time more and more glory hunters started to attend games to the point now where the club is infestered with them. If you look at it logicaly the Club does'nt want locals going the match because we dont spend money, most of us just buy our season tickets, turn up five mins before kick off, dont buy a programme, sausage roll or pint of Liverpool F.C.lager and then we are away within five minutes of the final whistle whereas an O.O.T or foreign fan will turn up at 11.30, go the souvenir shop buy key rings, pics and scarves, take loads of pics and spend loads now you can see the way it works.

If we gave the club back to locals, would look forward seeing Liverpool play crewe in division one.

Because to be in the premiership you need a global following not some Xenophobic version of club history. I don't care where a fan is from if he puts his money towards the club like the rest of the fans. So what if he lives miles away from Liverpool, he makes the commitment to travel and turn up. To be honest if you don't like the way Liverpool is working (with oft fans) go support tranmere rovers instead !!!

End of rant
