Would be silly to let Clyne go on loan, he's proved he can play at the top level still for us, TAA & Gomez miss games regularly with injuries, so we need top class cover, can't see us buying better than Clyne ATM.

Clyne is not good enough for this Liverpool side.
i beg to diffa . his the best RB at the club. he may not be as good going forwards compared to TAA but his heads and shoulders above him when it come to defending.

this could be a costly mistake

Wasting your time Suso. Old matey doesn’t like anyone who’s English. I agree with you about him. Not that TAA isn’t good and is the future but Clyne was a very good back up option. I can only imagine he’s hacked Klopp off some how?

He must have Wilks, Klopp put him in the shop window for a bit before christmas and now he's off. Plus, if our recent transfer dealings are anything to go by then the rest of us will know nothing till a new player is signed sealed and delivered.

It's hard to say whether or not it was a good decision, he hasn't had much of a chance, and he's still young. I'd like to think we included a buyback clause, as you never know he could come good, though to be fair it's probably a long shot.

Some people are forgetting Arnold is a midfielder. Clyne was a better right back and before his injury he was the most consistent performer in the club. He was also playing for England regularly so I don't know where this he can't play is coming from. He played 3 games this season of course he is going look rusty and out of sync.

Trent has been brilliant I reckon. I like his "moxy", but he does need to learn a bit more discipline, which will come with maturity. He gets my vote ahead of Clyne.

He needs to learn how to cross as well. All his crosses are wayward and kill off our attacks.

Yes, he played very well against City, much much better than Clyne against United which was a much weaker team. It's true that Clyne will not be at his personal best after so long out of the game, however, can we afford to give him games to recover as every game is crucial now + we have 3 players ahead of him in that position, ie, Trent, Milner and Fabinho, all much more match fit than him. I think he has been loaned out to get fitter so that we have more options to keep or sell in the summer.

True. Our crossing in general is wasteful.
