His time has come. Surely he will start against Red Star? I am really looking forward to this. The guy is a massive boost to our midfield. He confident gait and movement with his head up reminds me of Xabi Alonso in some ways.

I thought he showed a few nice movements and touches in the Huddersfield game, it's time he showed up really, top class players usually don't take all that long to settle into a new style or league, though I admit a few have struggled for a while. I'm looking forward to when both Fabinho and Keita line up together in full bloom, hopefully sooner rather than later.

With Hendo out, Fabinho should play, as it's a CL game he should be more comfortable with the European style, he's looked good in the cameos, hopefully he will have a good game.

I would like to see it. He's being eased in slowly. Klopp does this a lot. Even at Dortmund, Gundogan took half a year before he was starting. Ox was the same, Robertson was the same.

Have to say he's looked great today. Solid in the tackle, smart in his positioning, great passes.

His best game for us so far. That midfield 3 were excellent tonight.

Fabinho had a really good game, got stuck in, some good tackles, he was strong and put himself about, something our MF often do not do, also did a few good passes, an excellent pass for TAA who just couldn't get it over the keeper.
Shaq had an excellent game, really creative, good passing, Wij also played well, the MF unit looked really complimentary and worked well together, especially since they have never really played together before.

Fabinho played well tonight, although there will be tougher tests to come for sure. I'm curious what you all think, after his performance tonight, would you start him at the weekend or from now on? With Hendo out theres a spot there for him if he takes his shot, same goes for Shaqiri!

I would keep the Midfield as is, Henderson is out, not sure on Keita fitness, but he's coming back, so can't be rushed.
Cardiff will sit back and try and hold onto 0-0, so we need Shaqs creativity to help break them down, Fabinho was also pushing on and looked good with Wij, so leave as is, Milner is on the bench if we need to close it down later on.
