I'm not sure if Alison is top quality for top buck though Herc. Well I'd say he's pretty well up there with the top keepers IMO, though Oblak would be better. As I said however, Alison would be a significant upgrade on Karius, if we don't go the whole hog for Oblak. We need an upgrade, based on Karius's performances, if we're to challenge for anything this season, why should we risk failure when we have the money to bring in a significant upgrade?

Yeah that's the dream scenario ecnirp, and given Klopp's predeliction for going for the best fit for his plans, he might just do that...we can but dream. But I'd settle for Alison or the Madrid number two even, given my dread of facing a season with what we have. Now having said that, Ward might be the makings of a world class keeper for all we know, he hasn't been tested, but it's a risk I'd prefer we don't take until such time as he is tested, and wtf didn't Klopp try him last season when he was fiddling and arseing about with Migs and Karius?

i cant believe that people are saying oblak is too much money, even at 90 mill, we paid 75 for VVD. yes we needed a top CB.
but we also need a keeper, and a keeper is far more important that one defender

but we also need a keeper, and a keeper is far more important that one defender the way we are as a football club and finance wise we made a big mistake spending 75 million on a centre half, its alrite for big clubs like City, United, Chelsea Madrid and Barca to spend it as they can justify the outlay but for us to do it was ridiculous. We as a football club would of benefited more as a team by buying two quality centre halfs for that sum rather than for one player, now we are in a position that we still need another centrehalf and goalkeeper and we are financially strapped...Liverpool's decision making on players and outlay is appalling... Name me a quality Centre half available for 30 million. I'll wait. Virgil has been boss. First people complain we spend too little, and now we spent too much? Give me a break.
