The Merseyside outfit had seemed to be closing in on a deal for the France international, who likely would have been Philippe Coutinho’s long-term replacement at Anfield, but instead any move has now been called off.
Jurgen Klopp may well have to turn his attentions elsewhere now and Hakim Ziyech, who has also been heavily linked with a move to AS Roma, could be near the top of his list after he scored nine goals and provided a further 18 assists in 39 appearances in all competitions for the Eredivisie outfit last term.

On Monday evening, Terra in Brazil are reporting Liverpool have made a R$285m offer to AS Roma for the goalkeeper. That works out to be £57m.

The World Cup starts in 3 days there is no chance we will be signing anybody who is participating in it now because they are all with their teams.
It'll be a month or more before we sign anybody else and likely to be at much inflated prices. Our transfer window has so far been yet another dejavu clusterf#ck...nice one FSG!

Chill. Not as if anyone else has made a big signing. Fabinho at least was done fast and a 1st 11 upgrade

We didn't replace Coutinho and we allowed Can to walk out on a FREE...Keita and Fabinho are merely filling the void.
Our squad is still very much lightweight with an age old problem of a true No1 GoalKeeper we can trust. I'm sick of the blarney touted by Werner to appease fans whenever he bothers to show his face anywhere near our fans.
Never has our credit been at such an all time high in 10 years or more, with Klopp's exciting heavy metal football. Our transfer committee have one goal and one goal ONLY, to go out and get the players needed / requested by Klopp, and yet here we are with another ridiculous saga on our pursuit of a player! A season doesn't go by without this ridiculous merry-go-round which more often than not results in failure.
Fans are blinded with stockholm syndrome when it comes to FSG. They throw out the Hicks and Gillett ballhang, saying if it wasn't for FSG we'll be another Leeds which is utter tosh, if FSG didn't buy us somebody else would have.
FSG kidnapped us for 300m and grew us without much help on the pitch to 1.1 BILLION. They continually, season after season play the media and the fans with lies about investing in a squad that's able to compete with the best and yet here we are STILL after 8 years with 1 trophy to show for it with the same problems of a weak squad. For the last 2 seasons we have been legless when it really matters and ONLY by the grace of God have we somehow managed to keep hold of a Top 4 place.
We are going to melt away again to somewhere like 6th to 8th place in the PL next season if FSG for once in their sh*tty ar*ed tenure don't spend the money needed in this squad. We can't expect the likes of Salah, Firmino and Mane to have the same output as last season. We need serious depth and not some kids with potential which is what we have had to put up with.
We need 1 season where a nett spend is 150 to 200m NOT the 23m or so average we have been strangled to!
Fans need to be more vocal about FSG and this ridiculous status quo they keep us at. The time for sticking up for them has to end NOW...no more feeling sorry for our captors because they don't give a jot about us. Every season without fail they pistol whip us and idiots thank them for it!

What do you mean? Nobody has sign much more than us right now and we would have spent even more if the Kefir medical had gone through. What exactly do you want to do? Elaborate please
