Ronaldo makes them tick and I think he's still suffering with that ankle. In his comeback game he played for an hour and then went off. They've wrapped him in cotton wool since he aggravated his old ankle injury in the Barcelona game.

He'd be the first one to target EARLY, a 50/50 kick on his ankle and see how he holds up!

I can see only 2 outcomes to this game, we batter them by a big scoreline or they win by a spawny or contentious goal.
It's vital we score first because they are adept at closing out games when they go ahead.

I think this could come down to mentality.

If we play our style for as long as we can i think we have the better of them, our tempo is certainly higher and the 3 lads could easily undo their defence, they could actually get a rout of goals in the first half.

However, Klopp has yet to prove he has the mind set (or infuse the mind set into his side) to get over the line. He has fell short so far on a number of occasions when expectation and pressure were high.

We have no experienced winners on our team. None. Not as individuals or as a unit. This is brand new territory and they could easily freeze up and psyche out on the night. Even with a 4 goal lead we can crack at the seems.

Madrid on the other hand no exactly what this is all about and what is required. They could play [oops] for 90 minutes, not get phased and win it.

Yeah, Klopp's mindset to win two German leagues ahead of the only team in Germany is proper shitte. I don't know how we can win it with such a loser in charge. I might just go and have a few cocktails instead of watching now.

It'll come down to stamina IMO. To win we have to be getting in their faces and pressing the shyte out of them for 90+ minutes. If we can do that, and if our midfield manage to dominate in this way, we win it. If we allow them to run at our defence, we lose it. I'd say, like most games, it comes down to dominance or the lack of it in midfield, who wins the midfield battle, wins the game. If we can win there and get consistently good service to our 'Magic Trio', we have a great chance, assuming the front lads take their chances, and I believe they will. I'm still going for a high scoring 4 - 3 to us.

What I'm saying there is we can't allow them the time and space to get good and consistent service to their front players, if we let them do that, they'll score all night long. And I'm also saying: if we can get good and consistent service to our front players, we'll most likely do the same...it's a simple old game...

That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

No we don't have the better team, we may have the better mentality and hopefully we get the type we had against City at home (3-0), my best game of the season, and don't get tired at the end. We do have a chance

The Champions League win under Rafa, in my opinion was a freakish miracle and did not signal a resurgence of LFC in world football.

This time I believe we will win and it will signal the new Liverpool in years to come.

My prediction is a 3-2 victory, with plenty of drama in the last 15 minutes.

And it is not a false dawn.

Fook yea. This our time!

Fact is, the 2005 campaign wasn't freakish even though it may have appeared so at the time. Rafa proved it over the next few seasons as we were always competetive in the CL. It therefore certainly did signal a resurgence of LFC in world football as was subsequently reflected in our UEFA no 1 ranking I believe. The downfall was the relationship with the owners.

This time round, whilst Klopp is doing great, I don't expect this season's perfromance to signal a resurgence. It would be good if it did but I won't expect it to. Reasons being, we've already lost a world class player this season and are now relying on one who has surprised everyone this season. If he leaves or his form dips, then against the best teams we don't have much to provide a sustained challenge. Even Klopp will probably only be with us for 3 to 4 more seasons it seems.

Hence for now I've decided to simply try and enjoy the moment. Each game one at a time, enjoy the anticipation and the level of entertainment that the team is providing and not worry or even think about future world domination.

That reminds me. I need to check the fixture list to see when our next game is. whistle
