Philippe Coutinho will receive a medal following Liverpool's Champions League final against Real Madrid in Kiev:

Anfield officials have decided that the Brazilian's contribution to the campaign should be recognised, despite the fact he left for Barcelona in a £142million move back in January.

Liverpool reluctantly agreed to sell him after Coutinho demanded that he was allowed to leave in the winter window. Having played for the Reds earlier in the competition, he wasn't eligible to feature for Barca in the knockout stages.

UEFA regulations state that the Champions League winners are given 40 gold medals and the runners-up are handed 30 silver medals after each final. Distributing them is at each club's discretion.

I've got no issues with him getting a medal for exactly those reasons Wilki

That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

I'm not fussed either way. As long as he doesn't turn up in his kit for the presentation!

It's a hollow medal for him if we win, we will win despite him abandoning ship mid season.

It's like when Terry was banned from the final and had his kit on for the winning photos as if he played, sad.

I've never been so underwhelmed for a final.

Usually it feels like Christmas or something. That feeling of nervousness and excitement.

All I'm feeling though is annoyed. It's being played in a pretty inaccessible country. Flights are into the thousands to get there. Planes have been cancelled even if you could afford the flight.

Tickets.... I usually get offered a couple of tickets for every final or big game. As everyone knows 'a guy' that can get everything.

I haven't even heard of a ticket being up for grabs though. That to me shows how little there are available.

With the whole final being played for what seems like money rather than a trophy.
It's not about a champions league win. It's about Salah v Ronaldo. It isn't about our team ethic. It's all ' will Salah get the Balon dor'

I hope we win and I'm going to anfield to watch it as it's the best option for me but I'm hoping my Outlook changes once we kick off.

Good luck to all the fans that travelled. I don't envy you and I sincerely hope you make it back alive.

Re the tickets as I understand it now they are offered via the club to named individuals and at the stadium you will have to prove who you are. So the days of buying off someone else are over. I have to say though I agree with this it stops profiteering

Get at that Marcelo and get at Ramos early doors n we have arfur chance. For all their Galacticos , we're fitter n faster with the three boys up front. We're underdogs n not expected to win, so nowt t lose at all.
On the other hand Ronaldo against Lovren terrifies me.
