Papers this morning headlining that Klopp acknowledges that Salah dived and is openly critical of it. I didn't see the incident myself, but whatever it was I suggest that Klopp has made a mistake here perhaps?

Klopp should be protecting the palyer and the club. He should either have issued a strong denial or fudged it, created a smokescreen and then had a quiet word with Salah privately. Being critical of a star player in this manner is not a good idea. Esp given that Salah is going through a little testing period, is probably being courted by Real Madrid and will be asked to sign a new contract soon.

He DID dive, and I see no wrong in taking anyone to task about it.
He obviously hates CHEATING as much as most decent supporters do.

Should be red carded, never mind yellowed IMO.

Where do you stand on other forms of CHEATING in the game then?

In some ways I agree there's no wrong. And it's good to see a manager speak 'the truth' bluntly.

On the other hand, this is a professional sport. The reality is that other players, managers, clubs practice the 'dark arts'. It's great to be open and honest but will it cost us? Don't we also need to protect the reputation of the player? of course if it was so blatant... then Salah isn't really giving Klopp much of an option I suppose.

Let's see how Salah reacts. Hopefully he won't throw a stropp and start talking about wanting to go elsewhere.

If he dived then Klopp was right. This needs stamping out from the game regardless of who the player is or who the club is. More managers should do this in my opinion.

If Salah is that flakey then he can feck off as far as I'm concerned. Need players with more about them than that.

But he won't. this is nothing of nothing.

There's cheating and there's cheating... if you know what I mean. Personally, I don't like any of it. But what I also don't like is if other clubs continue to push the boundaries and get away with it whilst we have someone who might be clean cut and nice and the club suffers as a result.

It's like nuclear disarmament (in a way).... either everyone gets rid of them else we'll need to keep some as well.

CL final, and in the last minute we get a quite obviously incorrect penalty awarded to us, score, and lift the CL cup for the 6th time.

Dunno about you's lot, but I think I'd feel pretty damned sh1t tbh.

I don't think he is flakey... he seems to be a mature head on young shoulders. However, we know how success and inducements can turn players' heads. Can you imagine the forces knocking on Salah's door these days? All sorts of commercial parties as well as his own govermnent will be wanting a piece of hime and giving him advice to do this that or the other. I wouldn't be surprised if he's already been advised not to sign a new contract and consider all other options this summer.

Mane was booked for a clear dive a couple of weeks ago too, and has mysteriously been the best of the 'Tremendous Three' ever since.
