If he says it's for personal reasons we have to take him at his word. I seriously doubt he'd be so unprofessional to quit with the end of the season we have.

Huge game on Wednesday. If we don't progress to the final then there should be question marks over Klopp's long-term future. Considering the quality of player we have brought in recently, and Salah's incredible 40-odd goals, scraping top 4 would be disappointing. Yep, we should bring back your man Rodgers who has never been able to pass the group stages.

We have had some real negative shhhite happen all of a sudden to the club right on the eve of the 2nd leg v Roma and then going into 2 big games in the PL to try and solidify a CL place for next season!
Ox out for the season A shhhite result v Stoke Stevie G going to Rangers Can deciding to p*ss off to Juve Now Buvac handing his resignation in!
The club should do something positive and hand Stevie G the Assistant Manager role until the end of the season. If Stevie still wants to go to Rangers let him but only when we've found a replacement. I'm sure Stevie would be over the moon to help us out with his experience in this next few vital games and give us a certain amount of continuity.

Only Klopp should decide who will be his assistant, not the club. I also read that Buvac hasn't actually resigned and is supposed to come back.

I'm not suggesting to give Stevie G the role permanently...
"The club should do something positive and hand Stevie G the Assistant Manager role until the end of the season."
Klopp is going to need some help for these vital few games and what better way than to utilise one of our most talismanic players with a wealth of experience on the big stage. I'm sure having Stevie in the dressing room and in training will give the players a buzz and also have a positive effect for the fans.

The club have stated that Buvac will miss the rest of the season for personal reasons and that he is still an employee of the club.
Now I don't believe anybody is trying to be mean or ungracious about this, it just makes everybody concerned that all is not well at the club simply because of the timing of this.

Couple of thoughts on Buvac. Him and Klopp have had huge rows before but always made up. This might not be the end of the story. Short term effect is negligible but Klopp will want somebody else to bounce ideas off next season if he doesn’t come back. 1:06 AM - 30 Apr 2018

I don’t know why he’s left his position for the moment. Just wanted to make the point that their relationship has been volatile at times. They’re both impulsive characters but always came back together eventually. Let’s see what happens.

With very little information to go on it's only natural that fans are going to speculate. We all go through tough personal times that we like to keep personal, it can be ill health of oneself or family or a bereavement, but normally that sort of information is disclosed...but it's odd the timing and the open ended reason.

If this was January, then I would be concerned. But with only a few games left in the season, we should be ok without him until he returns. Hopefully he WILL return.
Still it is pretty weird. At such a late stage, to pass up the chance of being part of the group that wins the Champions League is difficult to fathom.

Buvac: 'If we don't play 4-3-3 against Roma I will resign!' Klopp: 'Fu*k off then loser!'
