There's always the option to sulk and effectively go on strike. So we know that these contracts aren't worth much in deciding whether a player stays of goes, esp if the offer is from Barceloana or Real Madrid. They only give the clubs a bit of protection in terms of being able to demand an appropriate fee.

Yeah, I think Benteke was playing upfront and he struggled to fit in, when Klopp took over he knew him from Germany and Benteke was sold, so he played CF under Klopps system.

We have to make sure these players want to stay and that means building a squad capable of multiple honours in a season. It's pointless winning a CL and thinking we're there already. We are still miles behind City when it comes to a squad that's capable to challenge on multiple fronts.

He seems to be loving his football with us, made up he signed a new deal. He is the lynch pin of our attack and he's not shy of sticking a tackle in.
