Wijnaldum was excellent I thought. Leaving him on the bench seemed to motivate him. He was good on the ball, made good runs and angles and was very creative. I gave him an 8 out of ten.

Was just wondering about that myself, it might cost us but if we could bring Grujic back it would be a big help.

Every good team needs a player like that, I thought that was where Milner was heading, but he's still a fulcrum of MF, probably our best all round MF player, which shows you we still need to strengthen CM, even with Keita coming in, especially if Can go's, which looks certain.

Nah Growls I agree with encrip, he's not a world beater but he's a necessary part of the team. He stepped up tonight and had a very good game.

Woz'ya rabbitin' about plumbs?
That's in essence wot I said!

Yeah, you did didn't you. Think I misunderstood 'plodder'.

Looks like Ox is out for the rest of our season, shame.

Can is not back yet, he will need a few weeks to get fit anyway, so his season is done, looks like Ox is out, can Wilson & Woodburn step up? other option is TAA in MF and Clyne at RB., Moreno has played MF but we can't let him near the starting line up after WBA display. This is when Stalwarts like Lucas come in useful.

Stoke game is a must win to keep ahead of Chelsea, they will smell blood and keep the pressure on.

Oh how I wish he was still with us. Bit clumsy sometimes giving crazy free kicks away, but he was a monster

yeah, this is when you need an experienced player to come on near the end at 5-0 and kill the game calming it down, someone happy to play 10-15 games a season. We let a few too many go without replacing them, but I guess with CL we can only register so many.

I kind of consider Wijnaldum to be the new Lucas. If Ox hadn't been injured we would've had Wij coming on for the last 15 mins. As it was he played very well tonight.

Missing that sitter means you can't put 'very' in front of 'well'

But scoring goals is not his primary objective. If VvD missed a sitter but otherwise played 'very well' then we would say that he played 'very well'.
The rest of his game more than made up for missing one chance imo.

Haven't seen or heard any updates on our resident pet Ox yet.
Anyone?

Watched the replay of the challenge a couple of times, and it really didn't look that bad or vicious, but hey, what do I know?
