They won't want to play us either, they know we can beat them after the Anfield game, so I make it pretty even, it's who plays well on the day, so up for grabs

This is what 'anything can happen in a football match' means. That said, we are the only ones whose been able to beat them in the league. So as a Bluenose I suppose it's normal for you to demean the club again.
Iam just stating a fact, when we were winning loads and loads of trophies and you decided to support due to that my own philosophy was still the same, if you have better players than the opposition then all you have to do is make sure your own game is right and if you do that then there is not thing the opposition can do about it no matter how well they might play...simple rules of football. I am not saying it happend every single time but nine times out of ten if your attitude is correct and you apply yourself then you will come out on top...
Each season the champions league has about six clubs that can win it, barring miracles like when Porto and we won it one of these clubs will always win it, according to the bookies we are the third worst team left in it behind Seville and Roma and the bookies are never far wrong.
The city game will be very hard to win but we have a small chance of getting through we are just gonna have to hope...just for the record the champions league is not our competition maybe years ago it was but not now, the big clubs dominate it too much now...

If we qualified it means it's our competition else I wonder why there are so many teams starting. In fact we are even paid to be in it, so wtf are you talking about? Do you mean that the number 1 ranking team should just pick the trophy in August?

I would say the champions League is for the elite Clubs who can win it...for me it's about levels...Juventus, United, Chelsea, Madrid, PSG, Bayern, Barca and City are for me the top clubs....
You then drop down to the second tier Europa Cup Clubs and you get the likes of Ourselves, Benfica, Ajax, Arsenal, Athletico, Spurs, Dortmund, Inter and AC Milan...some big and historical names in there but all in that second tier of Clubs...

I will make a statement here....You won't see a second tier club win the champions League for at least ten seasons and if it happens it will be on a Istanbul or Leicester City scale...this is what I mean about the champions League not being a competition for us to take serious...we won't ever win it unless you believe in miracles...

If city win the title the champions league and league cup in one season united fans will be on suicide watch. If we get beat then that's something to see

they'd probably want us to beat city so that City's ascendancy is stalled sooner rather than later... but perhaps also because they'd be confident we'd probably be knocked out in the semi's or thrashed in the final.

Having said that, they won't be able to count their chickens even if we're 3-0 down at half time in the final! smile
